Do you know why they chose a zone that would be 85% water? So that you had to SWIM alot, I'm thoroughly convinced this was a cheap timesink because the knew that content was pretty much nonexistant. Hundreds of quests? The same quests you did from 1-29, go kill 10 boars and bring me their hides, same quests different names."
11-man Helgrod with ease  = Lie
No, I'm sorry but my guild did all the way up to Thorog with 11 with ease.
Oooh YOUR guild 11-maned everything but Thorog with ease.. how nice for you.. hmmm maybe this was a casual MMO? "With ease" means that its very easy and almost anyone can do it... And why didnt you 11-man Thorog if this game is to easy for you?
    All 6-man is easy= Lie
Err... What? A hard 6-man in LotRO, yeah... lol.
maybe not for the hardcore elit players... but for the rest of us... the annunimas instances are pretty challenging..
    New zone 85% water= Lie
Exaggeration, it is largely water though.
Yea I agree.. I hate lake Evendim :D
Kill 10 boars in Evendim= Lie because there is no boars in Evendim ;)
"The Rift isn't the best gear in the game"
Lie because it is, but not much better than crafted and so on!
No. It's most definitely not. It is on par with Helegrod pieces and some crafted is just as good if not better, don't even bother giving me that shit because you're wrong. Any guardian that would take Rift gloves over crafted gloves needs their head examined.
Ok I must admit.. I dont know the stat difference between Guardian gloves and crafted gloves... but overall Rift gear is superior to crafted and Helegrod and with the set bonuses they re even better..
"You wanna know why Forochel has a huge frozen lake? Why did they choose this area as the new zone? The same reason they did Evendim, except this time it's even worse because you can't actually swim. "
Yea Im sure the devs choose Forochel because of the water.. Lie... and since you can swift travel over it its not even an issue..
I'm guessing you forget that you need to do boring, drawn out quests to actually use the swift travel.
So how are LotrO quests more boring than other MMOs?? Ok if you dont whant to quest then you dont play LotrO... same thing with other quest-based MMOs
"Do you really think that the super duper awesome reputation system isn't just a pure grind? Because it is, along with the trait/deed system, nothing more.
The 'content' is pretty mind numbingly boring. Isn't this a western MMO? Starting to seem Asian to me with all of the grind."
As ive said before.. LotrO has almost no FORCED grinding... its probably one of the least grindy MMOs out there... and you get reputation thorugh crafting, questing, doing intances and GRIND if you want to... so this was just more lies..
So crafting 1000+ of the same item to get Kindred isn't a grind? What? A grind is a grind, forced or not.
Yea it i a grind! Just like most things in MMOs are grinds.. but the difference here is that you dont have to do it if you dont whant to.. and the game wont punish you for it. Thats the differnce between forced grinding and non-forced grinding... Doing quests is grinding, repeating dungeons is grinding, killing other players over and over is grinding..

    You fail. Epicly.

If you're going to defend LotRO you should have at least played it before, you know.

oh yea sorry... I admit... I have never played LotrO... I fail :(

still just see personal opinions and lies...

let me know if you find a grind free game with unlimited amount of content and Ill come play with you :)

for now Ill stick to LotrO since there are no options in the MMO market that are better!

    If WoW = The Beatles
    and WAR = Led Zeppelin
    Then LotrO = Pink Floyd

Alien please gtfo, sure if you and you nolife ingame buddies play 17h a day friends play lotro you can beat a book pretty fast. But ever heard of side quests? deeds? crafting? If you hate lotro so much dou you rly need to come here and say stupid stuff? I mean please get a life, even playing minesweeper should be more fun than trolling a forum. Maybe your handicapped or something so you cant think like regular people. Go tell some chuck norris jokes with you wow/aoc buddies playing your awesome content with your awesome toony graphics, being part of the very mature and respcetful wow/aoc community makes your very special we know. No need to come here shout it.

Some gamers dont think its a nice thing to spend a whole night to do one raid in order to potentially get a peice of set, and i understand them entierly.

Once again check how many people that play lotro go and troll other forums. You'll see one major advantage lotro has over wow/aoc.

I'm not a no life that sits in front of his computer all day long, I'm an intern that sits in front of his computer all day long.

Quite a few games have titles actually...Guild Wars and Ryzom are the two at the top of my head.

Yes, but in most games they don't do anything for you.  In LoTRO you can actually earn stat boosts from them.

Certain Guild Wars titles actually do have an effect on your character/account. The Lucky title is an example of one. Considering Guild Wars isn't a very item/stat-based games it wouldn't be possible to have all titles contribute towards something (there are many), but quite a few do.

It's a sad day... I played LOTRO... I finished book 11,12, and 13 already. I already have all the blue crafted gear (etched jewelry etc.) and I did some rift... got some new items. Helegrod really isn't that hard... I went with another kin and they 18manned it... rift was simple.

I must say, not all 6man raids are easy.. I actually had trouble with a couple.. mostly Carn dum because of nooby pickup groups. But if you have an organized team, 6man raids are pretty much easy. So I ended up raiding with a kin that  I have some long time friends with. We did HG, Rift couple other things. Finished book 11,12,13 and then I was done. I have nothing to do... which is great because I just wasted $30... I really thought they added more to the game. For the last 2 days I've been sitting in ettenmoors PVP'ing... and it's not even fun PVP..

So I'm gone again, until Mines of Moria, but really.. I don't think I'm going to waste $40 on it... after 2weeks I'll be bored. I bought a copy of AoC and Vanguard, so I'll try both those out. My old LOTRO kin is playing AoC still and have plans to do so for the next few months until WAR releases so I'll just tag along with them.

Although Bluealien did exaggerate things a bit, overall he was right. I've been in the game for a couple days and I'm bored out of my mind... RIP Turbine... LOTRO is boring as shit. It's a fun game, I like everything about it but theres just not enough content.

    Playing: WoW,

Played: Aion, AoC, Eve, EQ, EQ2, LOTRO, Runescape, Guild Wars, DAoC, Planetside, SWG, WAR, Darkfall

    Wanting to try: DCU Online

Waiting For: Star Wars The Old Republic, Guild Wars 2.

Actually everyone in this thread has told you the same thing... if you are looking for hardcore raiding or PvP then this game isnt for you.. theyve added alot of new content, its just isnt the type of content that you wanted!

Are you a friend of Openedge1s? Seriously, go AWAY. Go back to failcom and blownan and leave us be. Its quite amusing that you hate Lotro but have apparently gone all the way to book 13. Guess you're a sucker for "Punishment".

    S

PS : Why is it all these blownan noobs have to try and tell us how bad every other game is? You're the ones playing the game where the devs lied and lied right up until release! Blownan isnt even an "MMO", it's an RPG with an online module and nice graphics. It 's like a substandard version of NVM.

Don't BS me man... you obviously haven't even played the game. They didn't add ALOT of content. They added a bit of content. In the last year they'ved added less content to the game then Blizzard has released in the last 2months... so in comparisan to other games turbine is lacking.

You're clueless m8. Every book they've added tons of content. Evendim, MM East, Forochel, to name a few. 2 of those are full zones BTW. We get it, you don't like the game, so sod off and play a game you do like and stop coming in here and talking nonsense.

LOTRO is a RPG and as RPG there are a lot of things to do. But as you think I guess that you are more a PvP guy than PvE. The PvMP is being enhanced in Moria and there are some tweaks in Book 14.

Book 14 is comming in the next few weeks, you can try it out if your account still active. There will be more content for the "rushers" like more traits and 6 man raids.

There are enough PvP games FFS. Why do these guys always have to have every game changed to suit them. Its annoying already.

When was the last time the main compainer here played this game before resubscribing? If you're going to claim a whole year of "nothing", back that up with something. That would imply you've played this game sometime around its release, considering it's barely over a year old. If you ever manage to get your character out of a starting zone all this time you'd be clear on what was added.

Everyone else here can easily point to the lotro.com Web site and look at the patch notes and tell you're absolutely oblivious (or here http://www.lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Patches)

There's been new major zones added (both about as large as any other zone that already existed), new moves added, new instances added, new monster classes added, revamped menus (fellowships, quests, etc), new items, new crafting recipes, new monsters, new raids. In addition to tons of normal quests over the past year, they've added a new epic book quest with every major patch. July will be the 5th book since the game's release (a game that's barely over a year old as it is). Plus obviously general "clean up" patching that has changed things for the better.

Whether or not you like any of these things is irrelevant.  There's clearly things added here. If it's not your thing, move on. Just stop lying about it.

You can't please everyone with these titles. Just because someone is "bored as shit" doesn't mean they speak for everyone. I get bored in other MMORPGs and this one has fit what I've enjoyed perfectly. Go play what you do like, it's not that hard.

How you've discovered all of this in 4 days since resubscribing is beyond me, but whatever.

I guess that no other MMO could beat the changes that LOTRO had in the past year:

    lorebook.lotro.com/wiki/Release/All

And that list is growing lorebook.lotro.com/wiki/Release_Notes_Book_14_Official

My God this blue alien dude lies through his teeth. No content? are you kidding me. Its obvious you didn't even play the game till 50 or didn't play it at all. Any LOTR player will tell you that you are bullshitting. I am no LOTR fanboy but come on man all you have to do is go through some old release notes on official forums to see the things they have been adding.

Don't lie anymore because you have already lost your credibility, more lying will only make you appear like a fool.
