Do you think it will really release in 2008? This game is looking like my dream game right now, it has all the features I think an MMO should have.

    quick question: is it seamless?

    They just got a publisher for Europe, no US publisher, no beta date, no release date, no beta information, no, it's not coming this year, and I'll be very surprised if it shows up next year. They are 6ish months from launch and they have a ridiculous amount of things to do in that time for a 2008 release to be believable.

    I have to agree the time is much too short to meet the promised deadline.

    [[ DEAD ]] - Funny - I deleted my account on the site using the cancel account button.  Forum user is separate and still exists with no way of deleting it. Delete it admins. Do it, this ends now.

    And you believe that some unknown newbie company like Star Vault can go though alpha, beta, gold AND release Mortal Online by next summer when they have zero in-game images what-so-ever to prove their game even exists?

     

    I think Aventurine is more likely to release in 2008 than Star Vault in 2009.

    @ OP: We can only speculate if DF will be released or not, and even if there was some veeeeery convincing proof that DF will come out this year or that DF is vaporware neither the fanbois or the vaportrolls will backdown. Hell, even if there is no beta till 2009 some new fanbois will keep hyping the game and the vaportrolls will keep doing their job.

    Just sit back and wait.

    I do highly doubt MO will be released next year, or launch the beta at the end of this year, expecting this would be unrealistic, in my opinion, as would expecting DF to actually launch this year... Just because I'm a fan of MO doesn't mean I believe everything the company says.

    On December 31st when DF isn't out I will make sure to make a post reminding everyone that I told them so.

    2008 are you kidding me?!  No, it's not going to release in 2008 lol.  Look at WAR for example, that game has pratically been finished for a month or two now and will not even release till late October.  It takes a looooong time to even polish a complete game.  DF is still in the rough stages and doesn't even have the full game put together yet.  We can only reasonably hope for a summer-winter 2009 release.
