Extensive cooking system?

I'm just wondering which MMOs have this feature? I remember Wish had something like it....

p.s.: Please don't mention WoW.

Everquest 2? Has a challenging crafting system. Literally it fights against you, and cooking is a profession you can take up. I think FFXI has cooking, though not exactly "extensive" if i recall. Lotro has cooking as well.

Not an mmo, but i personally would like to recomend Cooking Mama for the nintendo DS, which is a good game mind you in small doses.

    :D

I should mention WoW while im at it. :)

Edit: to be honest im not quite sure what your looking for exactly, i mean lots of games have cooking but i dont know of any that have a focus on it.

Nothing really springs to mind, to be honest.  Cooking is a simplistic affair in almost every MMORPG out there.  I'm going to mention WoW, but only to say that if WoW's cooking pissed you off, the rest probably won't do any better.

Almost all MMO's with cooking just have it for the sake of having it, without putting any real effort into the system.  I've played a lot of games, and I haven't seen a game which actually adds some of the elements of real cooking.  There's zero originality or unpredictability involved.  You take the listed mats and go through the process of making the finished product, which is always the same.  You can't improvise a recipe if you're missing an ingredient, and you can't intentionally change things up to change the result.

If there was a game which _might_ have what you're looking for, it would either be Vanguard or EQ2.  Both of those games have a lot more depth in their crafting systems.  I'd go to the game subforums for each one and specifically ask about the cooking systems there.  If they do add anything beyond the usual deal, though, it would probably be a minigame.  I don't think it would be anything I would personally call "extensive".  Of the two, if EQ2 has a nice cooking system, it might be a game worth playing, since it's very polished and complete in most other aspects.
