Do we really need to see topics like this at >INSERT ANY MMORPG HERE<
I mean topics like this aren't original anymore and it tells more about the person posting it then it does reflect the game. But then again i geuss OP hopes are that many people will reply with YEAH MERGE IS NEEDED, where atleast on my server it is definitly not needed, i aint even playing allot and i keep running into area's where i need to wait for respawns, or see multible people already waiting for re-spwns, imagine server merge and expect to wait even longer, so no i don't feel a server merge is something that is needed. And lets not forget resource node's, overall i would say anyone asking for a server merge must be playing a very limited portion of what the game offers, else a person would not at this point already make a topic about server merge

They are needed on a lot of others though. Somebody on these forums ran tests on the EU servers during peak hours and there were like 3 servers that stayed at around 3k people online at one time during peak hours, but there were like 7 servers that didn't get to 500, and 3 or 4 of them didn't have 300 people logged in at the same time. Those would be the servers that it is needed it.

Actually, im currently between MMO's because AoC failed to hold my attention. I had just heard rumors of a server merge happening and was hoping for confirmation.
No way will the servers be merged they will be creating new servers any day now to make room for all the new subs AOC gets everyday. This is just more warhammer and wow kids trying to make false statements to down the best MMO of all time.

The OP isn't playing WAR or WoW and you are such a fanboi you do not see the fact that some servers don't even reach 300 players online at the same time during prime hours. He was asking for confirmation if this was true or not and the answer is they haven't merged any servers but some of them sure do need it. I am not sure how well the Wiccana PVE server is doing Protus but I would love to see your results for prime time hours. You know how you bashed WAR and called it carebear but we found out you play on a PVE server in AoC?

Funcom won't merge anytime soon as it will mean a HUGE slap in their face and loss of all credibility after all the Hype and PR they did!
Sad truth is that a lot of servers atm suffer from very low population! At least on several EU servers!
On the EU only on one of the few Early Access servers like EN-PVP Fury is very high populated still.
Funcom just tries to sing it out till they launch for the XBOX360 and dump the console-dudes right on the same servers with the PC people.

I know the moment I left AoC. On my server in EU the population had dropped from 1300+ every night to merely 400-450 people online every night in the last week of my playtime.

Who knows about server merges, but the fact some servers are on low pops indicate new servers won t be added. Bestt MMO of all time in your eyes i m sure but too many not even close. Just play your game and stop with the false crap you spew daily. Your game isn t doing as well as thought, sure it sold alot but retention is what counts and AOC isn t getting as many as they would like. Leave it alone and forget about it, let us play WOW , WAR or whatever we play and you play AOC. Does it really matter?

It's really simple. Open Search tab. Make sure you havent tagged Looking for Group nor Looking for Guild and hit search button.
It will show all players online at that time

They won't need to merge servers because the whole game is instanced.
It doesn't matter if you have 10 instances of a zone, or 2 instances of a zone.
Your zone will still have 50 people in it.
OMFG you are really the biggest fanboi I have ever seen. Best MMO of all time HAHAHA. Why dont you try getting to at least level 50 before you make that statement, I know that your highest level character is only like 40 or something. How can you call a game that you haven't even played all the way through the "best MMO of all time?" Seems pretty stupid to me, unless you're just a paid mole working for Fu-com.
While that would be true normally, some servers have such low populations now, that most of the zones won't even reach 50 people. Some servers are regularly getting 300-500 people maximums(in the US, this is mainly the servers that were brought up post-release). So, that's a lot of empty zones and zones with less than 50.
This thread is asking for drama... nothing actually important about the game. I haven't seen anything evident or true about any of this information spewed here. Move along, people.

There wont be any server merges.
What will happen is that FC will try their best to fix things next 2 months or so. Then they throw out abit of PR and open Buddy program. Then when ppl again realise that it was just PR - then they will fix few more things and throw out open trial for first 20 lvls. .....
This is how it will be... Trust me
