EVE. hands down EVE. sure, I don't play it anymore, it just wasn't a good fit with me. But it is the deepest most well made MMO I've ever played. that said I haven't played every MMO ever, but I still stand by my opinion that EVE is... amazing.
Everything creates huge amounts of negativity on the internet, that's what the internet is for: Negativity, porn and lolcats.
World of Warcraft, and I don't care what the haters and the elitist snobs in here think. It must stink living and being bitter as they are anyway, at least I'm actually having fun, something many members here have forgotten about.

I've tried quite a few MMO's in my day. I really wish I had been on the net back when EQ and UO were in their haydays. That would have been awesome.
Anyway, back to the present. My first MMO was EQ2 - which is still a great game. I also play WoW, and despite all the haters, I think that it is a great game also.
However, the best game out there, has got to be Lord of the Rings Online. It is such a fantastic game, that I cannot begin to tell you about it all. The wonderful thing is, that LotRO is in its infancy. Every year they plan to release an expansion with a new part of the world being opened up. You play in the time of The War of the Ring, and the games quests are the best I've seen in any game. Especially the Epic ones, which draw you in, and have cut-scenes. You follow the epic story-line as you advance. Each is split into a Book, and every quest in that book is a chapter. To date there are 13 Books. Every couple of months - Turbine adds free content in the form of a new book, which advances the plot and adds new lands.
When Mines of Moria is released, they will start a whole new volume. So it will no longer have the sub-title of 'Shadows of Angmar'. I can't wait to see Moria, and how they can make an expansion based mostly on a huge dungeon.
So as big as it is already, just think how large this game is going to be in several years time! Yes, I love it, and yes, I'll shut up about it now!
I would also like to have gotten into EVE online, as that looks like one of the most mature and sophisticated games out there. Maybe some day I'll have the patience to complete the tutorial, and learn all the different bits and bobs.
EvE is the best MMO imo. Its not for everyone, but no matter how many times ive played it i dont get tired. It also seems that the majority of people who play it dont really ever quit the game. They seem to take a break and always come back.
Having played many MMOs EvE is also the one game that didnt bore me after a month or 2.
EVE online is my favorite MMORPG and has been for the last two and half years, I never get tired of it and still have so many things to learn about it, there is no other game that has so many things to offer as EVE. I have trained all relevant skills for mining, mission running, production and marketing and recently went for exploring to look for hidden complexes and I'm just starting to better my skills for pvp but still I feel that I only know part of EVE after more than 2 years playing time. In another half year I will start to look seriously at POS, player owned structures, how to set them up and run them and make ISK from selling service in them, so many things, so short time, so for me EVE takes the cake and is the best MMORPG ever.

ok thank you for ure oppinion now just answer that in the poll :P
The only game I play on that list would be AoC but I do not consider it the best MMORPG. I personally Like CoH/CoV better than any you have listed.
you could make an MMO in second life
I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.
No Dungeons and Dragons Online or Asheron's Call?
RIGGED!

Guild Wars
World of Warcraft.
Incredible game that had so little bugs and such great support that noone can touch it.
WorW- best game I've ever played
Guild Wars.
There's just something about that game, it keeps dragging me back, I don't know what it's, but it's awesome

You forgot to add the most lamented game on the internet and the one I would have voted for.
Pre-CU SWG

Howatch Johalla
What a crappy poll on "What MMO are you playing now". Of course whatever I'm playing is best.
Dark Age of Camelot.
Nothing I have played since or before that game has given me the same 'kick'
