Attacks on Aughaire, battlefield instances, server-wide goals, new fishing trophies, new housing decorations, new cosmetic items, towncryiers and a lot more. Together with walking animations for my horse and all the new animations for my minstrell I am really looking forward to the day when book 14 goes live.

I simply love the legendary item concept! Brilliant :)

"More prosaically, legendary items are rare-to-epic class-specific items that drop (though some can be crafted) throughout the world and can be bound to a specific adventurer of level 51 or higher. New legendary items start nameless and must be identified by a new NPC. Once identified, they acquire a random set of "Legacies," or class-specific bonuses and begin acquiring experience points when their owner uses them in combat.

As players level up, their legendary items will also level. With each level gained, the item's legacies can be increased in power. Legendary items will also have spaces to slot in "Relics." These are item drops that add still more special abilities. Every ten levels, the item must be re-forged, at which time the weapon can take on a new name and more powerful legacies. "Legendary items will absolutely affect the way you play your class," Steefel said. "They add a lot more customization and give the player an artifact that's truly unique to them."

    Now, THIS is new :)

I like the fact that the LotRO devs keep updating the game so often and so well. Though I never managed to get into the game, kudos to them.

It's never too late to try again and see how it's improved :) Myself, I have started playing WOW more than 1 year, EQ2 over 2 years after their initial launch, and enjoyed them both quite a lot actually. They were polished with a lot of content, and that's always good.

LOTRO will be one of the games with the most content after Moria is out, and we're still very much in the first half of the journey. This is the time that I can admit I should've bought the lifetime membership :(

I bet Moria is a hugging party like the rest of the game.

The gameplay was just a little too slow for me. I'm used to a number of spells flying off every second, armies of minions etc. from Guild Wars. I plan on trying it again though and I'll see if an Elf Minstrel was the reason I didn't find it too satisfying.

That's probably it, try a Hunter or Burglar.

LotrOs big weakness is character customisation and character progres after you reach lvl 50!

Seems like Turbine is really working on fixing theese issues with the trait system 2.0 and legendary weapons... this game is great and just getting better! Hope that MoM wil be as good as it sounds!

and the new "battlefield instances" in book 14 sounds like a great new idea! :)

    2 new gamespy articles

    The 2 new classes

    Legendary weapons

It all sounds really awesome! The legendary items seems like a more complex system than I thought it would be!

    Just cant wait! :)

The new classes sound pretty blah....Runekeeper: since when can Player-characters use magic? Warden sounded cool, but it seems like it is going to be like a Ninja/Monk now.

However, the legendary weapon system seems awesome... it kind of reminds me of getting "??? items" in PSO and going to a tekker to have them identified. This is something I always thought Turbine really needed to add, unique items... very cool.

Read all of Gamespy's latest articles and man it was interesting. Theyre doing some really interesting stuff I cannot wait to play it, more so than WotLK - which hopefully I get in the beta for so i'll know whether it will rekindle my enjoyment of the game or not.

Currently started playing LOTRO a few days ago and have been really enjoying it :) If you see Lucii on EN-RP Laurelin make sure you say Hi!
