I personally dont mind the game.  Sure it has its fair share of bugs but I don't mind it.  Why dont u just try the 14 free day trial?  You dont need a credit card.  Check out www.starwarsgalaxies.com and it shows you the link for the free trial.  You really have nothing to loose.

I am playing it currently and enjoying it as a game full of stuff to do. The only problems i have come accross are missions not completing, but that is rare. Don't listen to people that say SWG is empty, cause I was on Corella (spelling?) Coronet and my comp almost locked up because there are sooo many people. If you think it is cause my comp sucks, AMD Athlon XP 3200 768mb ddr ram Geforce 6800 128mb. with these spec only a bunch of people would do this. It IS worth it now IMO if you asked me when it came out I would have said no.

During the trial I think I encounter one bug, either that or the problem was me. And I did get lag in cities with lots of users even though I met the requirements (i think). But I did enjoyed the game.

I was going to buy the SWG Collector´s Edition, but this game is lag + my PC isnt powerful = im screwed.

This game only lags when there are a TON of people in one area, but all games do that. You don't need a top of the line system to play it you just have to adjust your settings.

It lagged for me when I was in the middle of nowhere, with the settings all on low.... The strange thing is that it lagged less at the release with 5x the ammount of people.

No content? Last I remember there are armors and even clothes, pistols, carbines, rifles, swords, maces, axes, morningstars(i think that is what they call hand to hand weapons) Houses, paintings, plants, pets, pet mounts, droids, landspeeders, speederbike and speederbike swoops, lets see the list goes on, instruments, harvesting tools and machines, guild halls and like 9 planets to choose from, there can be more but i cant think of them, also little things like if you /punch an imperial he will knock you out and fine you. A probot will come by and scan you for illegal good same with stormtrooper. tell where the no content is?
also, pointless, boring leveling? Have you played any other mmorpgs? guess not. FFXI is the worst at this, DAOC,EQ, WOW, UO(maybe not UO), L2, RO, EQ2, AC1&2, CoH, just go down the list all games have this, that is just something people use to have somthing to bich and moan about.

You automaticaly start in tat, so lucky you, I play on Lowca, and can get you into a guild that have good people in it. We usually go on a hunt for meats and hides for the guilds medics and people who need it. We have our own town also. They will set you up with a house and a speeder bike. My name is Estevon on Lowca if you choose that one. Also we are in talus and if you want i can go to tat to meet up with you.

Hey,

   I played the game for the 14 free day trial and it was pretty cool. It does lag in sum places like in front of the cantinas and starports, but beside that not really a big problem and u can adjust ur settings.

As for gameplay start off killing lil rats and stuff and if u join a faction is when u can kill the soliders and stuff.  Its kewl now u can get to ride a speederbike or a land speeder or even can a mount for a creature if u are a creature handler. IT will take quite sum time to level but it will be worth it in the end (i think). PLus if u join now u character will be ready for JTL.

Have fun if u do choose to play SWG

please discard this post its biased and aint true.... here i will fill you in with what i think of this game...

first off i will start with the good... In SWG you can do a lot... whoever says theirs no content dont know much... you can fully dress you chara in many differnt styles of clothing for look, you can have a house and decorate it to your tastes, there are many dungeons in this game and new ones are always being worked on, theres 9 planets you can explore and travel across, vehicles, many differnt combat classes, many crafting classes, space will soon be added(to complete the star wars experince for everyone), a pretty gooc community altho can be mean to newbies ou just need to find the right people and you'll be set, pvp, and various other small things that make this game good.

now heres some of the bad things... since your PC aint the uber of uber you might have problems in larger populated cities... more ram and a graphics card can fix this problem GRETLY. PvP to most people is pretty stupid but the main PvP combat class will be nerfed hard soon(combat medics), a lot of professions seem pretty ou clssed by others... where this is true it's also true that people who play the other professions kick a lot of ass once they master the art to that profesion. PvP could use some sort of face lift... various little things within it can either make a person PvPing the first time never do it again... or seriously piss a lot of people off. The little bugs that have been out since launch or even before launch, the lack of the game being updated(but the devs claim the expansion is to blame... i believe them so after Jump to lightspeed comes out we should notice a big change), other small things that you'll encounter weekly that get annoying...

most the bad within SWG is in pvp, the lack of CSRs helping you ingame(but when you call customer service and talk to them direcly after a CSR got done being worthless most the time THEY will help you... seriously a lot of people i know dont even submit ingame tickets they call now cause it works way better). then of course if you're not a power gamers this game is full of them, so if they bother you probably not the game to play lol...

 

the 14 day trial is still out but it'll end soon... so try it and judge for yourself... its a cool game with a lot to do... i been playing since 3 days after launch and i still have fun
