Alright So I can actually go out and grab a 3 or 6 month subcription card with cash and just renew as needed... That was my big thing cause I have no credit cards. So awesome! I'll definately be pre-ordering On monday then. Thanks much
Yeah, my local GAME and HMV always have them is stock, they have 15 days and 30 days aswell, but you dont save any money with timce cards only with the reguler sub
NCsoft has already announced the payment price, maybe you should actually check their website...

Play the chinese OB because the gametime at CN USA are cheap.
Why? After Aion NA/EU is released the English speaking population will migrate to the new Aion, you will just be left with a bunch on non English speakers, and also the English patch (which breaks the user agreement) does not work properly in higher levels and will not work in the future when new content is added....the English patch probably will not work with the new content in 1.5

ps: Also Aion-CN is full retail not OB
I prefer to play the chinese client because it's cheap to buy the gametime and the ppl are really nice and not the arrogant types and I assure you that the english patch will work on the next update.
Okay, free to play, pay to play blah blah blah. I'm hear because I just watched a video, and on it, the guy said you pay to play for the hours you play. That's a massive huge difference. He was quoting like 120 hrs per month at $15. That is crap, that's like 4 hrs a day, I would not go for that, it's nowhere near enough. Has anyone else heard of this set hours of play time? This needs to be seriously looked into. I don't know about you lot, but when I get my head into a new game, if I like it I'll need 200 hrs a month at the very least, and if that means paying even more, it's just not on.
I dont want hours per month or f2p cash shops... no no no, i rather pay 12,99 month and play as much as i want whenever i want and not have to endure the rather bad communitys of the f2p games
I hope we can get to the bottom of this. Like I said, I don't mind paying, but not per hour rate. For those that play only a little it would be great, but not so for us with lots of spare time.

Has no one on this post prepurchased the game it's p2p and it's 14.95 a month unless u buy 3,6,12 months at a time then u get a discount but i forget how much those prices were. It's not going to be f2p and it's not going to be a ppay by the hour either maybe if everyone would just go to either the ncsoft site or aion site and check the FAQ there wouldn't be this many ppl that don't know this question.
Thanks. Trouble is, it's a new game and there's just so much info on so many different sites. The official site seems a bit lacking on the info front, maybe it's been updated, I'll go have yet another look.
In most, or all, of Asia Aion follows a model where you don't buy the game or pay a monthly fee, you just buy time.
That is NOT the model for the US and Europe, where the game follows a standard monthly P2P model. $15/month, with discounts for buying more than a month at a time.
That's it. I can't believe there is confusion on this? Western players can play on the Chinese servers, with Chinese players, by applying an English language hack to the game and there they can pay for time, rather than buy the game and pay monthly. If you plan on playing on Western servers, it's game purchase (with a free first month) and P2P monthly fees there after.

The only good F2P MMO is Guild Wars. That's not a "true" mmo though. Guild Wars 2 will be F2P.
I'm definitely playing Aion(assuming this pc can handle it). Whatever will I do when GW2 comes out?!
P2P helps keep the kids out
and
Item malls on F2P Games just blow!
so agree P2P is much better than F2P.
Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?
Final Fantasy 7
FFXIV! You Ready?

God i hope you understand he is only talking about the Asian subscription and not the NA/EU subscription.
Who is talking about the asian sub and not the na/ue?
Who is talking about the asian sub and not the na/ue?
All the talk about pay by the hour is the Asian subscription and not for the NA/EU region.

Cool, that solves that little mystery then.
