A Naruto MMO? give me a break, how could you possibly make a good MMO about the adventures of a small group of people? What's next, a Dragon ball z MMO?

Yeah, I would play. I've been argueing about the fact that a Naruto MMO would be so successful because of the INSANELY HUGE amount of international fans.
The talents/skills can be based off the Five Elements and then you can have the option to mix 'em up, to create Wood Element or whatever. The quests would be so fun to do, going up against Akatsuki or whatever in parties.
Create your own shinobi, nuff said.

sorry, but I'd see fighting the Akatsuki as a raid or something in a Naruto MMO.
Me and a few friends have talked back and forth about a Naruto MMO, and there is one, glaring issue.
Bloodlines. Everyone would want one. Of course, you cant do a quest to get one, being that you'd have to be born into the bloodline to have it, but at the same time if everyone had access to the major familes, such as the Hyuugas, Uchihas, Naras, and such, no one would make a plain ninja. We did come up with having to do some questline, to unlock the ability to create a character, but that same issue would arise.
Besides, a major issue with many MMOs is that combat rarely involves moment, and looking at the anime, the fighting system would have to be very dynamic and fast-paced, something hard to accomplish in an MMO. Also considering the grand scale jutsus can accomplish, it also would require a system for handsigns, as just clicking a button for being the right level, or rather rank, would seem dull.
You are right it would be a great idea, but thats it. Execution is on a whooole nother level
I dont think she misses any episodes. I had to DVR a couple of episodes for her, and watched it with her when she finally did see em. The art direction wasnt that bad, but it seemed to me to definitely be aimed at a younger audience.
She would be happy with a MMO(she currently plays EQ2 with my wife).
Even though I no longer play MMOs really anymore, I dont think a MMO based on this franchise would of appealed to me even when I was a regular player.
I would have to think it would be aimed at the show's target audience as well(which is probably a smart marketing move heh).
Asking Devs to make AAA sandbox titles is like trying to get fine dining on a McDonalds dollar menu budget.

Cept Naruto has a creepy pale guy who loves to get into the bodies of little boys...
You people have no idea how mmorpgs work. Hellsing, Berserk, GitS? Come on, those would be horrible MMORPGs. Just because it's a rad show doesn't mean it's worthy of being an mmo (GitS is lame btw)
Naruto wasn't that great of a show. In fact, it was plain annoying. But the atmosphere and knowledge it provides are all great features for mmos. Like the idea of countries, and clans, a good and evil, rankings.
I think it would go off with a hit, the show is popular enough to bring in the numbers, so it wouldn't be a boring 30man mmo.

awesome insight, I've forgot all about bloodlines. and it is true, execution would be a major factor. but graphics wise, they should look at Ultimate Ninja Storm for PS3. those graphics are sooooooo nice.

ew...on Lineage 2. standing next to your opponent waiting for cooldowns is not PvP.

The problem with pushing for graphics like Ninja Storm on the PS3 is the hardware consideration that has to be taken into effect. If they were to force the necessary specs so high just to get those kind of graphics, it would alienate a good portion of their possible fanbase. Aiming for the graphics of the later PS2 games would be enough for me, and would prove to be more spec-friendly, and thus more productive, in the end.

apparently you dont understand how mmos work. gits would make an awesome fpsmmo. mecha,sci-fi, 2 main factions, character body modifications, etc.
hellsing mmo. two factions pvp, work for the hellsing organization or be a vampire, lots of weapons, imagine being a creature handler vampire with ghouls for pets!
Comments
no.
People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.
afraid not

hellsing or ghost in the shell. nothing else would do for a anime mmo.

they canceled during closed beta when a patch actually broke peoples windows install and they had to send out external drives to fix them.
My 12 yr old luvs that show.

short of the local playground, I cant think of a better place for gentlemen with the "jack-o" complex to hang out.
another mmo where sissies hide behind shadows to mitigate dmg lol....
One thing MJ has in common with ninjas, they both do it from behind, on the other hand, the ninjas dont mind their blackness.
And on the other, other hand, Micheal Jackson doesnt have a long snake tongue... or snakes for that matter.
Who needs a long tongue when you have an ample supply of jesus-juice.
