I was confirmed for a BDoY beta account, but I have received no download link or anything. Are they mailing disks out or something?

    I'm sure any minute now a hellicopter will be landing in our driveway to deliver the CD.

    Usually what happens is once all of the beta giveaway spots have been confirmed by all the recipients through mmorpg.com, mmorpg.com will send all of the recipients information to the company giving away the spots and it is up to that company upon how fast they will contact you. It usually doesn't take more that 2-3 buisness days, but I have seen it take longer, so patience is a virtue.

    Also, don't ask the mmorpg.com moderaters upon your status because like I said before mmorpg.com just forwards your information, unless something goes wrong they won't know the status of your account.

    OK, was just wondering cus in the RYL beta thing I got an account name/pass and client download link in an e-mail almost immediately and was a little worried

    I won the RYL beta too. Although mine didn't come immediately, that's for sure. I can't remember how long it took. Was 2+ hours though, maybe a day.

    Yeah i agree with Intruder, helicopters kick arse. i wish i won a helicopter...or even the beta for that matter,but hey,my father beats me :(...and i had to eat my new puppy for lack of food,but hey,you cant win em' all. Helicopters do rock though.

    Well I was a eq2 beta contest winner and we are still to receive our prizes. That was over a month ago.

    Its a little shady to have a contest for a beta, win, and then be told the beta doesnt start in a month or more if that.

    Ever since I have been like a EQ2 junkie and I swear its like I am going through withdrawals like I have a drug addiction. Its bad and I think for future contests they should hold them when the accounts, prizes, betas are available to give away. It avoids frustration.

    I won the Dragon Empires beta contest on April 22nd for a beta that was meant to begin sometime in June. Now its August and I'm still waiting around. One month doesnt seem so bad from here.

    Didnt dragon empires beta start like eons ago? I think they just forgot about you honestly. I remember Dragon Empires had a beta stage like even before the beta contest.

    At least in EQ2 the beta for like the eq2 devs friends and family with 600 people is just starting. I dont buy into all that though and you figure the press wannabees have been playing for months.

    Also when a game goes into preorder stage im pretty sure that marks that they have a marketable product and they arent in "beta stage 1". At least no beta stage 1 as we know them to be.

    I emailed Peter Tyson about this and he replied he has not forgotten about us and will let us in the next stage.

    However,he has left the company so hopefully the new guy in CSR will remember usimage

    I'd be interested in knowing how many repeat winners are out there. I visit the site just about every day and have entered most every beta contest the past year and have yet to get selected. Guess I just have bad luck.

    You may have a bit of a wait. i looked at the winners and dont recognise any usernames. So i imagine they arent exactly regulars to these forums

    Dragon Empires beta 1 hasn't begun quite yet. They keep pushing it back. I talked to Peter as well just before he left for New Zealand, and everything is still in order for us to get in.

    Now back to waiting
