I had to go to IGN myself to find out about it, and you have to download it, but boy, I think it's the best *non-NDA breaking* release of an RVR video of the game yet.
Really looks like this game is taking shape now.
- Take note these are not the final graphics
- All I was taking into account was the sheer size of battles... glad to see it's chaos like DAoC was...
- If the graphics are quirking you, check this thread for an RVR video with better graphics - http://mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/thread/189810 That video proves this RVR video was from a phase which was long ago, so I don't want to hear any complaints about the graphics.

But...what with the pikmin looking dwarfs in the keep?

Just watched it, looks awesome. Pretty cool to see them adding in the capes and different color for the armor. Looks fantastic, cannot wait for a chance to play it lol.
I gotta be honest, im really excited about this game but that was kinda disappointing. Looked alot like the unorganized, chaotic combat from WoW. Dunno what to think.....
Was thinking the exact same thing. I spotted too many dull fighting styles there and slow hit rates. Worse than WoW by far imo. Not saying that the end result wont be great, just first impressions of what I saw.

Theres alot of bloom, and the sound effects repeat alot too.
I have a feeling this is Mythic staging battle for good videos, and coming off a little weird. WoW did that too before launch (Show hunters line up, and warriors all fighting one on one)
Once the game comes around and people are playing to win, not look good it should sort out. We'll so more than just one on one fights, but lines and what not.
I really dont like the fireballs exploding everywere and what not. Too flashy for me.
Ever seen a war zone that wasnt chaotic?

You tell the truth. Mythic made them all line up to not make too much chaos everywhere. I agree on everything except the fireballs. I like the fireworks and if you don't like it, put some sunglasses on :P

The concept for some of the mounts look awesome. I love the dwarf mounts...

The flashiness is really just backlash from having too many classes. Plusses and negatives I guess.
Every class has their nuke, armor and mount. With all that differen shit it starts to feel like a circus. Imagine if WoW had 6 mage classes all with different AoEs bouncing around. Thats not WAR thats geometry wars.
I was pretty hyped about this game but now after I watched the video I dont really know.
Honestly the graphics are pretty bad and do looks alot like WOW. The battles are...blah...where are the "battle standards and banners?" I thought the battle are tactic base and it really looks like a gang wars.
I always thought they gonna do the standards banner with special effects, but all I saw are fireballs everywhere O.o
Hmm. Didn't like the multicolored look. The animations still look a bit clunky to me too.
They JUST started guild beta to test things like the banners. I wouldnt expect to see any video's with thoes for another couple weeks. I could be wrong though. As far as the video itself, cant comment at work and cant DL anything onto this comp
Like other people have said, the majority of the video looks like the graphics are "bleh" but the last 10 seconds or so, with the Chaos, Dwarves, Orcs, and I think an Elf or two fighting in the city, the graphics do look more polished there. It looks like there's actually lighting in the game. The armor on the dwarf also looks alot better than the armor on the dwarves at the first part of the video. Anyway, good video, thanks for the link. I can't wait for some RvR action.
Still looking forward to this game, but the video wasn't quite as awesome as I was hoping it would be. I agree the animations look somewhat choppy and the spell effects often didn't look like they really fit into the environment. They kinda had a "pasted-in" look to them. The first clip in the video actually made me think someone had uploaded a DAoC video as a joke.
The finaly shot of everyone fighting in the city looked a lot better, and I still have high hopes for WAR. But with this video, and the dungeon video they released (the one that looked like 50+ rooms all with the same texture)... I really want to see something more impressive soon.
Looks like a warhammer...daoc! Amazing!!!!!!!
The Secret World Beta Weekend Screenshots and Review at Bird Eats Worm!
Impressive video...some serious WAR going on there. Found the lighting a bit dark though, might be my gamma setting on my machine. But overall liked the effects...and the players in this video actually look like they know what they are doing..as opposed to early videos I have watched with people jumping up and down alot rofl.
Good Vid going to go watch the others offered up there too.

This video looks old compared to a few of the most recent ones released. I hate when they try to make them cinematic in certain ways, don't they realize that doesn't sell the game? People want to see what it really looks like to play. UI and all showing.
I'm still hyped about the game, it HAS to better than what is floating around in stale mmoville right now.
Hmmm....... Im not impress, infact quite disappointed about the chracacter looks. I expect them to look more "dark", but they are too cartoonish. Hope Mythic brush up their looks more. Other than that, i like the rest of it...
RIP Orc Choppa
Watched the video and considering the hype around the game, I was somewhat disappointed. It felt like nothing much was happening and like someone would have pressed the slow-mo button. Of course might be that I didn't know what to look as I am in no fashion familiar with the classes and their abilities, but still.
Still retaining that sceptical view of mine and waiting till more information is released.
they did ---> http://pc.ign.com/dor/objects/748723/warhammer-online-age-of-reckoning/videos/chaos_062008.html
that video was pretty bad... spell effects look really garish and amateurish, the combat looks very tab-target-auto-attack, and player models and environment look worse than DAOC.
i really wish they'd just kept DAOC and given it a big UI/graphical makeover.
very disappointing. first AoC turns out to be crap and now WAR is looking really bad too.
Darkfall is my last and greatest hope.
that video actually looks like the old client and not the new one.
Looks to me like the armour sets the players were wearing are placeholder or low level gear.
The spell effects didnt look like they were on very high graphical settings neither, in fact much of that vid is what I'd see if I had wow on its med-low settings.
I think its going to take a reasonably powerful machine to run at high gfx settings when in massive battles.
My current machine has 3g ram, nvidia 8600 and amd 6000 dual core. Should be okay for this game and med-high for fights of 40v40 I know from alterac valley games I drop down to 25-30 fps. 100v100+ on the other hand I may struggle.#
You may want to realise that its still beta and for stress tests such as these big battles they'll likely tone down resolution's, plus as they said its a few months till planned launch and theres still a fair amount of polish to go into the game.
Hehe we went from "awsome" to "pretty bad". Happens in many threads.
I am not putting any bright things on my damn character, because apparently right now big battles look like a jar of jelly beans on a roller coaster.
Sent me an email if you want me to mail you some pizza rolls.
