Good to come back?

I played the game back in beta and had two characters max level at the time, haven't been in the game for years and I am quite a game hopper. I do play a few games at once and now that I unsubbed for one I am looking back at this game, I know the customer support is quite good as they were able to help me get my password back from a few years ago. .  Any suggestions? How is the gameplay now? I thought the gameplay was extremely interesting, especially the castle raids, never saw mounts or anything though, wondering how classes have changed also? I had a Human Mage and a Orc Warrior or something like that. .Also I remember there was a ton of chinese farmers back in the day, so I used to farm money also since that was the trend, is that still around? Or have those farmers been cleaned up? I remember the botting was INSANE back then.

the gameplay is still good, as i allways have been.

there is no more chinese farmers. but there are still some botting .

but overall its still a good game, and im still playing it

i think your shall come back, there will allso soon be the new update, so your can more easy get up in the lvls. so come back and play the game its still awesome

Give it a go, Colt.  I, myself am coming back, but more on a basis of Old Gustin historian as I'm in the outline phases of a paper I'm working on dealing with MMO's.  No, I'm not a grad student, but actually a history teacher and novice historian that became a "gamer" back several years ago.  L 2 was the first game I truly got into 100%, back in the day.  I will most likely return to what is now referred to as Phoenix server, I do believe sometime later today, after all the updates and patching.

I know some people that would be very helpful to you and might even invite you into a clan, possibly.  That is, if they are still playing.  My main characters name I shall give to you if you will send me a tell in my inbox.  I have a level 69 gladdy that I left in Giran facing the monument in that city's town square about a year ago.

My purpose will be to gain e-mails with some of the "living legend" types.  Those players that stayed and played from open beta in March, 2004 until now.  I am hoping for some very interesting stories to add to my own experiences.

My main responsibilities, though must remain to my guild on Uldum, Alliance  for WoW. ,  My playing might be relegated to only an informal chat, as i set up schedules for interviews with long-time players.  LOL, I do know though there are still some ol' buddies out there that'll want me to "level" up with them.  So, I shall see what happens.
