Anything close to SB ?

in Shadowbane

Ok i have been in Iraq for a year now and have not been able to play anything at all. Im a hardcore shadowbane player. Want to know if there is anything out there that is close to it as far as the pvp.

Or should i just keep waiting and killing CN tell something better comes out.........

    The sad thing is, nope nothing like SB out there. 99.999% of MMORPG players are carebears. There is EvE online, it has a system mostly like SB, but in my opinion it doesn't really seem like a game. So seems to be a boring time for people like us.

    • Darkfall
    • Stray Bullet Games game in development

    Not much else out there.

    I played shadowbane when it first came out.  Look up Dark Age of Camelot if you don't mind it's an older game.  Warhammer Online is new and has a good player versus player system.  Age of Conan has the build your city and siege other playermade cities you might like. 

    When I came back from Iraq with III CORPS, I went back to DAOC, its pop was too low.  I moved to AoC, not enough friends played it.  Went back to WoW, then gave it up when WAR came online.  I'd recommend starting  your search with Age of Conan and Warhammer, still new and forming it's community.

    Nothing is out that gives you a sandbox like shadowbane where players create there own cities and stuff in a open pvp enviroment... but if you just like to pvp try Guild Wars, it has fast leveling and nice classes and good end game....

    Warhammer is out as well it offers alot of pvp but its nothing like shadowbanes leveling system you will find your self grinding and questing for hours a day to get up through lvls for the same end game you had at lvl 1...

    Darkfall is the next big thing it's shadowbane and then some it offers alot of gameplay and alot of features in a open pvp world.

    I found Age of Conan really similar to Shadowbane, you might give it a try.

    It has still few problems but it is kinda fun.



    For the next few months though keep an eye on Darkfall, FFA PvP and Full body loot, you can't get it wrong.
