N. Evan Van Zelfden in Los Angeles warns, watch out World of Warcraft. In an interview at E3 this week, Electronic Arts chief executive John Riccitiello said that EA is working on the next version of Star Wars game Knights of the Old Republic, and it will most certainly have a massively multiplayer online component to it.

Shame, the project could have been a breath of fresh air. Instead, they're just jumping on the "Lets create an MMORPG on an IP" bandwagon, and one that already has an MMORPG about it on top of that.

A lot of us have been hoping for a new StarWars MMO. If you asked me who I would want to design and implement it, I'd say Bioware, without any hesitation. This is a good news day

That is very cool news indeed, KOTOR was one of the best RPG's released in recent years (before they milked the franchise a bit too much) but as an MMORPG looks to be a great fit.
