LOL my dream game

Hello everyone. As my first post I'd like to request a game that will fit my needs. I have a small band of followers with me and I'd like some suggestion on where to send them.

 

I'd prefer a game that's not Asian (or at least not anime style) in which I will be able to do some or most of the following:

1. Build a city, home, guildhall, business or something to that effect

2. Set tax rates for a city

3. Some good PVP with large and small numbers

4. build and craft, to some degree, and add things to the game/community

 

Anyone with some suggestions?

Well there's Shadowbane that has those features. It's kinda old though.

EVE has some complicated PVP and cool clan features (as I heard, only played for like 3 days.)

 

Then lastly there's Darkfall which PROMISES everything you asked for and more. But that game won't be out till the end of this year, or 2010.  By then it's full blown vaporware.

Thanks I've played EVE and I like it just don't want to have to pay (I'm cheap). But I may pay for Darkfall when it comes out, I checked it out and joined the community, then got banned for expressing my opinions on guild alliances (so I may not join at all if they're going to be like that).  Thanks for the response though, hope I find something to play so my community can have somewhere good to go.

Well, City of Heroes/Villains has a Base system. Supergroups (guilds) can get bases ( guild halls) that they have to pay rent for. You get to build the base up from scratch. You choose how big the rooms are, where they are, etc. There is also a robust selection of decoration. Also, bases are getting a major revamp in the next major free update, issue 13. There hasn't been any announcement on the issue yet, but the leader designer of the game promised a major update. This means there will most likely be base raids, which are already just about done.

The game does have a great crafting system. The PVP in the game is a bit meh. It's heavily focused on PVE, but there IS PVP. There is an Arena for dueling. There are PVP zones that are different by level. In them, everyone is automatically set to the same level, that way no one is necessarily "stronger" than the other.

Anyway, you might want to give CoX a try. The trial is very restricted though, but you would still be able to try most of the features, except good PVP.

You like to set tax rates, do you.  Yea thats something I've always looked for in a game.

He might be looking for his dream game but he'll be a nightmare for anyone playing it with him.
