No More Pre-Ordering Collector's Edition!?

I decided to pre-order another copy of the CE online from a more reliable source such as Amazon, only to find that they no longer carry it. I searched ebgames and gamestop to find that they also stopped taking pre-orders!
Anybody else noticing this? Did they ninja these off of the shelves for pre-ordering? I have 1 copy reserved at my local ebgames but the manager there has no idea how I will get my beta key and early start key.

There are only going to be 60,000 copies of the CE shipped throughout North America. Most like Amazon anf EB have run out of thier allotted copies. The problem with EB and the keys is a common one, Idon't really know what you can do about it.

Yep, i work at gaming retailer and we get a corporate memo regarding Warhammer CE's...Most if not all retailers stop taking preorders on the 11th of July.

You can still order it from the EA Store, I ordered mine on July 16 and received all my keys on July 18.

I got mine on the 15th from GoGamer.com, got a working open beta key and the other ones too. However, I see they no longer carry it... Lucky Me.
Sent me an email if you want me to mail you some pizza rolls.
Don't remember what was stated for Europe ..not sure think they had even less CEs than North America had. Wonder if they are all sold out too?

I said a few weeks ago I doubted there would be CE copies left before the end of July, so order while you can. The game has a lot of momentum now and release is imminent. I would expect a firm release date to be given in 1 to 1.5 months.
Fortunately, I have my keys sitting in my inbox, waiting.
Thank God I ordered mine just about 1 week ago. Sounds like I just made it. If you go to WARs website they have all the carriers for the CE. I'd go through them one by one and see if you can find one of them still selling it. At this point it doesn't matter where you get one you just want one.
Never preorder a mmorpg unless you're in beta and like it cause 9 times outta 10 the game turns out to be shit, infact it's happened to me 10 times outta 10 on every mmorpg I preordered lol.

Yes, I had stopped following WAR for a couple months and when I looked again, the CE had already been made available on a limited basis.
I clicked on the June newsletter and started checking all the outlets selling the CE. No sites had any more available until I got to EA Home. They must have keep a bigger pile for themselves since, well, it's their game -- so they can do stuff like that.
In any event, the EA Store accepted my order for the CE and sent me a confirmation email.
Someone had mentioned that the EA Store had copies of the CE left, so I went there and they still had it available. Do not know how long they will last, but probably not much longer. If you want a copy, check the EA Store and you can get directly to the Warhammer CE page by clicking on the EA icon on the newsletter where it talks about preordering the CE.

The whole issue about cutting classes and home cities does not phase me.
I know that Mythic is going to release a solid game from day one and then we will have the content additions to look forward to -- which is always nice.

And, btw, my High Elf Archmage is going to kick your Sorcerer's butt. I am also going to heal and rez my friends so they can kick everybody else's butt.

I love this game but i'm not gonna preorder it for a couple of reasons...
Waiting is for the weak but I must wait...and see what the future holds for WAR!

Yep, I totally understand that.
For me, I just love the CE box with all the extra stuff, the little in-game gifts, and naturally the early peek at the game in Open Beta is a big draw for me since I didn't get a Closed Beta invite.
Which is okay. I busted my butt in LOTRO Alpha and Beta testing for eight months. I will have to definitely say that too much beta testing will just flat out spoil the "wonder" of the game when it goes to retail release.
I don't think I am ever going to alpha and beta test a game for that length of time or that level of intensity again ... so just an early peek for a short Open Beta will be fine with me.
Also, a big hats off to all the beta testers who worked so hard with Mythic to produce Warhammer Online. If you take the testing seriously, it is actually pretty strenous and time-consuming.
Also, I like the timeframe that WAR will go to retail release. I always like it when I new game comes out in the autumn so you can be well into it by the time the snow falls.

I should have 2 right now but as i havent gotten the codes from my local gamestop store im sure im screwed there. They took my $10 for a CE but I dont have faith in them, was gonna sell that copy on Ebay. I do though have a pre order from amazon. I have the beta code entered and just need to remember the account i used to get th eother 2 codes lol.

Europe had more CEs than NA had? Over half the beta apps for war are from europe with the us and the other parts of the world making up the rest.War has its biggest following in europe just like DAOC had.
Warhammer comes from the UK and has been massive in Europe for the last 25 years. WHA is made up of more Europeans than Americans as well.
A lot of people in the us especially younger people had never even heard of Warhammer until mythic stated that they intend to make a mmorpg based on that title. Ask many Americans who follow war who games workshop are and they wont be able to tell you? ask the same people who blizzard are and warcraft and they can tell you everything.
If you notice in the game all the voice overs are British speaking meaning UK British. I know where they`re are some CE left in the uk because i went and bought another one last week even though i had mine from the first few day they announced them.
I just ordered mine, but are you guys saying that even if i ordered it i may not get a beta key?
