Can you be a black person in warhammer online?

Don't know if this falls under the NDA. I'd just like to know if it's possible to set skin tone in WAR when playing "The order," to a level that one would discern the character as being black.

I was initially hesitant to even make the post and all the smart remarks and sly attempts at stereotypical humor show that perhaps I was right to give pause. Not everyone knows WAR lore from A-Z. When I asked the question, I was thinking only of "The Librarian," from War 20k: Dawn of War. He's was black and a member of the The Empire *gasp*. I just figured that maybe if it were possible for someone to be black and Empire in the future then there was a chance that such a thing was possible in the past. This too assumes that one set of lore is merely an extension of the other.

Empire is based on medieval europe , so i guess not.
Actually if they take the table top approach for paint schemes I think you could be any color you want in any race for the game customization is suppose to be a big part of the game so why not.

Why does it matter what skin color you can be in a game? And I imagine if the color is not part of the lore regarding races in WAR, then it won't be available.

Maybe if they add in some of the southern areas in an expansion? Didn't they have some kind of African continent type races in warhammer tabletop?
I never played it so I don't know. It would be pretty cool if they added it in though. I like to see diversity.

Actually I've always wanted to play a fat character in a MMO. So far no luck.
But then someone will make the argument that the skin color tone alone will not make the character "black"

At this present moment in time you cant play a black person in WAR, that`s not to say it wont happen in the future.
Now to your comment about medievil europe? are you educated or did`nt you learn anything in your history class? Half of europe was ruled by black moors until the 1500s their have been black people in Europe since the Roman times so perhaps you need to go search some history books or perhaps ask your history teacher why they never mentioned it to you in the first place?
I could teach you myself but i have not the time or will to teach you something that you history teacher should of told you.

Ermm? scandinavia is in europe ?.Two..war is based of many places in europe mostly the uk? it`s a UK title born and breed in the uk.
It was born up in northern England ,hense Pauls description of the races.Its high fantasy with real life places bought into the lore.

Throwing my 2 cents into the fat idea.. I myself am a bigger man than most and I would be very entertained if there was a fat guy who could tank or be something comical like a fat rogue character that tries to fit into stealthy clothes but his stomach flows out of the bottom. I dunno I guess I am just a dreamer...

The same question you pose initially can be used in my defense. If it doesn't matter, then it's not that big of a deal to make possible that which I'm inquiring about. And it doesn't necessarily matter; however, it's a nice OPTION to have. It's a fantasy based game true, but maybe one can immerse him/herself more deeply in a game when a very insignificant feature is made possible.
As to the second point, let's assume that the OP (me) doesn't know every single piece of lore regarding WAR. Should I go now and read every piece of printed literature pertaining to WAR, as well as buy every single game ever made in an attempt to see if there were black people anywhere throughout the whole of WAR history, OR could I plainly ask a very simple question on a forum directly associated with the game? One of the three previously mentioned choices just seems to require so much less commitment.

Actually if the options of past games hold true, you can. The usual tendency is to make possible a lot of caucasian shades which tend to include a color which you or I would certify as yellow or fair skinned. To your second question, I would answer it by posing another question. Were there fat asses in WAR lore? If the Gods of future WAR lore are any indication then maybe you can be.

If you can't tell from his statement OR the replies to his post what was intended by his comment then you are either naive enough not to warrant a response or simply playing at that very same naivety. *EDIT* below I'll provide the statement and responses I speak of. If you still don't understand it then we'll just have to assume we've had different life experiences and pick up on things differently.
