It's called getting the word out so people don't waste their money. When they don't give these companies money for their piece of crap game and empty promises, maybe it will shock the company to produce something better than the garbage that was put out. That's why people post negativity on a GAMING FORUM representing the game(see up top....it says Age Of Conan)
Let's say I have a Milkshake and you have a straw....but the straw company put out a piece of crap product filled with holes. When you suck down the milkshake......you don't get anything. That's how people feel about AOC. Of course some people...they don't care, they will waste money on that crappy straw and think it's better than any straw ever made....but then they never really get to taste that milkshake.
I am really enjoying the game at the moment, however I at the present state I will not buy an expansion pack if the bugs and content is not fixed by then. At my present rate if these issues are not resolved I will probably end my subscription in a few month's. Even mentioning an expansion 2 months after the game came out and the state it is in, is just stupid even in a business perspective.
well i guess if you are willing to subscribe to a bugged game with serious problems with the game engine you ll also be willing to falk out more money in the hope it ll be nearer completion .

This is a silly statement. Let me see, WOW is going on its second expansion to buy. EQ had, what, 10 of em, LOTRO has Moria coming out. Not sure how many renditions of Lineage 2 there are, Phantasy Star has had a couple I think, City of Heroes had...uhm, city of Villians, DAOC had at least 2-3 expansions to buy.
This is a very, very ,common model. Why would AOC be different or those that buy it suckers based on the fact it is a PTP game with an expansion. That means there were millions of suckers for the other games to, right?
The angry "mob mentallity" has totally consumed the AOC forums and, as I browse WAR the wild fire of peasants with torches will spread there next (and already is).

By this statement, I have to assume you haven't played any MMOs. I don't know of any (that haven't failed - TR or AA for example) that have not released expansion packs. hell, even next gen consoles have downloadable pay-for x-pacs.

NC Soft does not charge for Lineage 2's "expansions". In fact, Lineage 2 has never had anything resembling a retail expansion since its launch.
What L2 gets are major content updates, aka "Chronicles" or now "Chaotic Throne" updates, which include new areas, mobs, quests, gear, etc... but those are not charged for; they're included in the monthly sub fee.
What you're seeing is NC Soft occasionally "re-releasing" the game on retail shelves to attract new players. These come with all updates from the most current (as of the retail release) going back to Chronicle 1. Existing players don't have to buy anything new to get all the updates.

Turbine has patched in tons of free content since LotRO launched, I don't mind buying an expansion from them
