Good MMO RPG

Okay im totally bored and want to get my nerd on. Any games that have deep rich RPG and are immersive, im looking more towards a game in real time, where I can act stories out too, but ill even check out some "forumish RPG" games if any are posted.

Graphics not that big of a deal (I love x com and still play it on ocassion). Cost is really not important, be it f2p or 15 a month. Genre doesnt matter whether it be sci fi or fantasy, I just want some thing I can play with a mature crowd.

Oh yea, i am also more inclined to playing something where many people can gather into one spot, ie more then just a group of players, like around 30+ players allowed in one area.

I would recommend Dark Age of Camelot, the Gaheris server.

I have just returned to the game and I decided to give the Gaheris server a try. This server is pve only but it has a great community and people are really helpful there.  Leveling is very fast on this server and all areas are open since all the realms are aligned. Also you get a free level every two days and a realm point for each level from 20 to 50.

If you are interested in trying the game out, this server is a great place to learn your way around and it has a friendly, helpful community.  I play a paladin named Ledrir on Gaheris. If I am on, feel free to message me for help or if you have any questions.

There is a free 2 week trial that can be downloaded at:

    http://www.darkageofcamelot.com/download/

I'm not sure what expansions come with the client download. There are 4 expansion downloads on their site. You can dowload all of the expansions.  Trials of Atlantis and Catacombs are free so download them if they are not included with the client download. Darkness Rising and Labrynth of the Minotaur you have to pay to activate.

    The order of the expansions:

    Trials of Atlantis

    Catacombs

    Darkness Rising

    Labrynth of the Minotaur

If you want to play on a pvp server I would recommend the classic ruleset.  The servers for classic are Gareth, Lamorak and Ector.  Mythic is planning on releasing a new server called Origins sometime soon so you can start fresh with everyone else on that server if you want to.

Check out LOTRO...similar to WoW but much better IMO. There is a 14-day trial too if you want to try it.

I really enjoyed WoW better than LOTRO, I guess I just never really liked the LOTRO lore.

Currently restarting World of Warcraft :/

What about a game with MEANINGFUL PvP, IE PvP has some effects other then death fatigue. Something like EvE where not only is time wasted (isk/ships and mods), but also it can have territory/politcal effects.

currently eve is the only game really like that i believe... the rest of the games followed the first everquest and pvp doesnt have any real reprocussion if you die (yes, i said everquest, not wow, because wow got alot of its aspects from EQ, please dont harrass me about that)... I know Age of Conan is creating a system where you drop an item if you get killed in pvp, but that game gets tedious very quickly.

Hmmmmm AoC has spoiled me in combat. Im trying to get used to auto attacking again LOtRO seems like a rich place to RP, hopefully I can overlook the combat. (Funny since i occasionally enjoy combat in EvE from time to time)

I have a level 4 captain and look foward to RPing leading armies, although this would be more enjoyable in a true meaningful pvp setting, I can see it still being fun in PvM

City of Heroes/Villains: Virtue Server. It is the unofficial RP server. There is also a zone Atlas Park. It is considered the "home" zone by everyone in the game. It's where everyone gathers just to talk and mess around and have fun. PvP is not the main aspect of the game by far. There are PvP zones though. The one PvP zone has pillboxes, which once captured change the envoirnment and control of the area (hero/villain).
