Curious, do you think any of the design team is over 12?

My opinion is nope.

Press release today fails to mention that the new server is premium only.   When you register you have to select a server, and once selected there is no way to unselect.    How completely lame, that is why I think this is designed  and written by 12 year olds.

Yes, the new server is prem-only, but the home server, which is home to many prem-players, is a full blown server.  Free accounts can do everything a paid account can, including holding deeds to their own village. There is, however, a skill cap to a non-prem account, which can be blown out by a hardcore player in about 2 months.

Much of WurmOline is about community, and high skills are not necessary to have a good time, which is, after all, what a game should be about.

You do make a false statement, in that, once a server is chosen, it may be changed. However two of the three servers are prem-only.  Unlike some games, you can start a free player, convert to premium and continue without penalty, and revert to free at any time, with skills gained above the cap being "frozen" at the cap, and reverted back to full skill once. Accounts later brought back to prem status, continue with the higher skills they have earned.

12 year olds design WoW-clones. In no way is a game like Wurm even on the mind of a 12 year old.

If you aren't actively part of the solution, you have no right to complain about anything.
