After all the fights about my game playing time, my Special Lady Friend is FINALLY willing to sit with me and give a game a try. I played SWG, GW, and AoC, but i am willing to give anything a shot.
What MMO game would a female like? (Needs good graphics, no free MMO's)
Thanks for help and saving my relationship, lol.

Hm I know many female gamers in Guild Wars and WoW, also Pirates of the Burning sea, really choose a game thats not as gorey and has other features besides grinding for levels, such as an advanced craft system or a fun trade system, (Also I know many women in Runescape.) Thats about is much as I can say.
Currently restarting World of Warcraft
I know alot of girls that play those cutesy games like Fiesta Online and DOMO (Dream of Mirror Online)
My wife absolutely loves Sword of the New World.
I've tried to get her to play WoW, LotRO, Vanguard, SWG, UO, Age of Conan ... and she just wants to play Sword of the New World.
I'd go with WOW.
Not because it's the greatest game ever to grace the internet, but because it is quite easy to get into. If you want to interest her into MMOs at all, you should not pick a game with a steep learning curve, or she will give up very quickly. There is a reason why this game is so damn successful.
My wife and i have played EQ, WoW, CoH, DDO, Vanguard, EQII, LotRO and her games of choice are EQII and Vanguard (once they fix stuff in Vanguard) because they have the most robust crafting systems that she's played.... able to do stuff on her own that isn't soloing and dying. and in the 'not her boyfriends MMO' department she also really enjoyed A Tale In The Desert.
"We aren't going to ... Period. End of statement."
ya. ok. whatever.
but what do i know, i'm only a vanbois i'm told.
If she likes story and reading then LotrO is a good choice since it engags you in the story from lvl 1!
Also have housing and an outfit system that games like WoW lacks and may be fun to women (and men too )
If WoW = The Beatles
and WAR = Led Zeppelin
Then LotrO = Pink Floyd
show her the games you already play, see if she likes them...swg will burn your relationship in the ground faster then the sun would, GW is free to play so no double ammount of cash to pay for it...you can cyber more realistically when your wife, or yourself, is away in AoC (tits...) but might be a bit gorey for your wife, would have to meet your wife, honestly, ive seen chicks play AoC, EQ, EQII, UO, EVE, WoW, SWG, etc etc etc
vanguard does have a card game called diplomacy included, and has its advanced crafting, if she's not into the combat stuff of mmo's. Or if she is into doing trading and merchanting, maybe EvE, assuming she likes flying cargo ships and mining asteroids for ores to produce goods.. Both are not really beginner mmo's though.
Proably WoW would be the best for getting someone hooked on MMOs, just cause its easy to get into... if she likes it, she'll cap out in a couple months and you can move onto a real game. If she likes cutesy-games though, might wanna try ragnarok online or one of its clones.
And the joke of the day: If you want to test your relationship play lineage 2... if she levels with you all the way up you know shes a keeper... if she doesn't, it was never meant to be. LoL.

Yeah definitely WoW. The main reason being that if you're not use to mmos and she wants to catch up to you she can just follow one of the many 1-70 guides then join you. Make sure she picks a class that will enable you to duo elites.

Now this is completely depending on what your 'lady friend' enjoys and you of course but i would recommend having a look at EVE, i know there isn't a huge amount of females playing but i know a few that are really into it. one of my first corporations (guilds) i joined the ceo's gf played as well and did a lot of work with the corp in management. It is a Sci-fi game so she might think its to impersonal.
It does have a steep learning curve, i won't deny that. but if she is intelligent or likes a challenge it could be worth it, and once you understand it more it doesn't have to be challenging or you can keep trying to expand, learn more, setting new challenges if you want to keep it challenging. To me its fun, others might think its to much work.
There is heaps to do apart from PVP (though PVP is my favorite times) from trading, manufacturing, mining or even working on running a corporation and expanding it. Its definatly better as a social game which she might like. In a good corp it can be really fun i think. It does have free trials so you could both give it a go and explore a bit to see if you might like it.
Just offering an option for you to consider. enjoy!
If she does get into WoW, (which is ridiculously boring) make sure she creates a male character and pretends to be male. Otherwise she'd be trampled by the 13 year old fat kids asking her if she's hot.
On topic: I haven't seen a female-ish game that's P2P yet. Most of the cutesy games are F2P.
I would say that Vanguard is a good game and is very female friendly. Has perhaps the most mature community out there atm. Also, has perhaps the best crafting system as well as diplomacy.
She can own her own boat and she can even own her own pegasus/griffon/wyvern flying mount.
My wife wasnt a big MMO gamer either but when she saw me playing Vanguard she wanted to give it a try and now she plays more than I do.
Sudukoo, Majhong, or Solitair.

I'd say city of heroes/villians or guildwars
Both are very easy to get into with a very easy learning learning curve and a take you by the hand quest system.
Being female myself, i'd suggest Guild Wars or City of Heroes/Villains, as they're the two that i play. They're both fairly easy to get into, and you can team with your partner/friends fairly easily (so they can show you the ropes if need be lol). I love GW as the scenery is stunning, lots of costumes to find/buy as the game goes on, and the story line is fantastic . I found CoH a little harder to get into, but my friend that bought me the game helped me through the first few levels, giving helpful hints and making a character so we could level together.
On the whole, it depends on what your lady friend would like. Good luck and i hope you find something you can both play together
Hello Kitty Online
A female friendly game is anything, games arent gender locked, nor are they designed with one gender in mind. Girls can play any game out there, it is all a matter of taste,
I managed to get ym gf to play every game i played and i sure as hell didnt put hello kitty on my computer, so basically just try everything until you find something you like.

City of Heroes/Villains. I've encountered many females in the game. A lot of females play the game and it IS great game.
Out of all the games I've tried Guild Wars probably had the most population of real broads in the game. I think its because of all the sexy clothes and armours they like to dress themselves up in. That or a lot of fags.
