They're not bringing the old game back. Nothing short of a mass firing of everyone at the top level of SOE will bring the old game back.
I wouldnt be so sure a young padawan out in the galaxy has been growing stronger in the force monthly since they became know to all.

I wish the emulator the best, but the logic for shutting down SWG and them not filing suit against EMUs does not make sense.
If Lucas will shut down SWG so there will be not be two SW MMORPG's out there, why would they NOT try to shut a service that will be competition that is FREE?

However, I would think that the characters that are specific to Lucas are still his intellectual property and as such, although SOE cannot touch them, can't LA?

From what i hear the ducks spoke with the LA reps and the birds status is FanArt based upon abandonware.
If LA wanted to make trouble for the bird they should do it soon, after it is released it would be like shutting the barn door after the cow got out. A hydra they could never stop. Kill one server and 2 would take it's place.
