AoC Forum Mods = Unprofessional

So now even the mods are telling people to get lost if you don't like AoC.  Not saying the guys thread shouldn't have been closed, but the unprofessional attitude of their mods is suprising.

I think they're hiring fanboys to moderate now.

That's just the attitude that is seeping from the top-down.  Mis-management is ripe in this company and product offering.  It would make for a great Harvard Business Case Study...

LOL atleast their mods communicate. I wish I could say the same for their ingame customer support or tech support

Unprofessional ? Yep, thats what happens when you allow your rabid supporters to run your forum.

Yeah, it's crazy because it seems they don't care. It's like, "You don't like our game, then screw off!".

If I was lead mod there, that guy would be gone in a heartbeat, no questions asked.

It's already bad enough with the state the game is in, without moderators making it worse.

The mods at AoC forums are a joke. Fanboy losers with a little power-trip going on. I imagine this idiot is probably 15 years old, and a rabid FC ass kisser.

That's what happens when a nickel and dime Mickey-Mouse operation like FC hires volunteer mods to save another few nickels.

It's not like anyone at FC gives a rat's ass anyway. They got your cash, that was the goal all along.

I bet the most hes even played Age of Conan is just to get to level 40, grab a mount, and stand on a bridge waiting for players to run by so he can kick em' in to the river.

Haha , That was my favorite part about AOC , at least as a ranger . set a trap on a bridge stand on a rock overlooking it (stealthed) create your own little mini game  the bridge troll . " you shall not pass".

I am starting to suspect this whole Age of Conan Fiasco is really an elaborate and well engineered plan. FunCom is a publicly traded company, and I am sure that the majority stockholders are/were the company founders (Godager, Tornquist, etc. ). Think of the implications of these folks selling their stock just days prior to the AoC launch (at 3X the value of its original offering price 3 years ago), now with the stock plummeting to an almost record low they will be able to rebuy controlling interest of FC at a bargain price while having made enormous personal profits.

I know this sounds like a story from the land of Tinfoil Hats, but for the life of me I cannot find any other scenario that would explain why the management at FunCom would continually do everything possibly  imaginable to make sure this game fails and in record time.

I can hear the FunCom Exec meeting ... "The stock  dip plateaued  and we  haven't  reached our buy back target price yet, ideas anyone?" "Sir, I think we can shed some more of our player base if we begin giving Fanbois free reign to moderate the public forums", " I like where you are going with that Jerkins, have that up and running by the end of the week, Anyone else? What do you have Humphreys?", "Well Sir, holding back on those buddy passes hasn't disenfranchised as many subscribers as we had hoped. Johnson and I were spit-balling the idea of charging those potential new customers  to use the passes, we see this as a win-win, we can kill two customers with one stone.","Fantastics guys, I knew you would come threw when it counted, text my Blackberry when the stock goes below our original offering, I'll be vacationing in Beritz, they'll be big Christmas bonuses for everyone if we get this deal done by October. "

An evil plan is the only reasonable explanation, no one could possibly be this incompetent.

FunCom is by far the worst and most unprofessional company I've ever had to deal with and one thing is for sure... I'm NEVER playing anything from them ever again.

Somebody should take a screen shot and host it here as Funcom sooner or later will have the forum post removed to cover the tracks as word of mouth builds up about it.  Since when is posting a link to a review trolling is what I'd like to ask that asshat employee moding the forums there? The review must have touched the fanbois nerve, since the review hits the nail on the head with the basic experience the average gamer will have with AOC.

The way Funcom have gone about the whole AOC release really has left me hoping they get their just deserves and go bankrupt. The people running Funcom give the impression their deceitful, greedy and arrogant. It makes you wonder where the arrogance is coming from when they're subs are sinking faster than the titanic.
