Thats funny. AC2 was alos my first MMORPG. In the the other "best 5 MMORPGs" I rated AC2 as my #1. AC2 was very group orientated, and the community was tops. I have yet to experience the same kind of community in any other game. I would also go back to AC2 in a second. Good fun and good memories....
Can't really say I've played any really bad ones. Less good ones surely (I have my favs, but calling others bad is too harsh), unfinished ones (Vanguard, AoC), and ones that weren't my cup of tea (PotBS, Hellgate: London), but not really bad ones.

first of all wow boy. its not a new fad to hate wow its an old one. and i hated it before it was even launched. it didnt combine them all cause it is nothing like the ones before it besides the grind fest. and i really dont want this forum to turn into a wow fight. so go play wow or go back to B.Net
God I remember those times of defending the fort from enemies. standing at the front gate only to get hit in the head by like a 70+ lugian bowler or a archer/hivekeeper. I remember my brother and his lvl 50 lugian zerker when he had no idea what he was doing, went to pvp island and ran out on the bridge and got drilled in the head with a cesta from like 200 yds off .... 1 shot him hilarious.
Eidolon was so epic the first time i did it. To me grinding in that game was the coolest thing in the world, and ive played all the mmo's, grinding sucks so bad in everything but AC2. Fets and Brutes ftw.

When did simple become "unfun" Checkers, Drawing, Tic-tac-toe, all fun games yet very simple. Simple interface and gameplay doesn't mean it's bad. And as for the "brain dead monkey", im guessing all the subscribers and retired players of WoW are that? All the haters just like to hate, the games not bad, if it was bad as people claim it to be, then NO one would play it.

Really though, how did you manage to get yourself to hate a game before it was even released? That's some pretty impressive hatred you're packing.
The only game that really goes on my list of "worst" mmo's would be Everquest
Say what you want about it being so innovative or whatever, the fact of the matter was that it was a treadmill that forced you to group to kill anything your level of three below it...and it took so long to gain a level that it felt like you were starting from scratch after you dinged...even WoW's 69-70 grind was nothing compaired to the grinds in the THIRTIES in everquest.
I've played many other MMO's and wouldn't say that any of them were inherently bad, including SWG and NGE SWG...though original SWG was totally buggy and almost unplayable at times, i still had a lot of fun with it, way more fun than I ever had with everquest.

Since, for me, it was the BEST MMORPG (out of the standard rollercoaster ones) that I've ever played. Trust me, I've played practically all of them.
The worst games would have to be
1: KAL Online
2: Silkroad
3: Twelve Sky
4: Age of Armor
5: UO
I could add a near endless number of free ones to that list...but hell, those are easily the worst for me. UO had lots of things I liked....or rather, WOULD have liked had the game not had one of the most abusive PK systems to date. Never seeing the outside of a town really killed it for me...and did so on a level that made nothing about the game desirable.

From worst to bad:
1) Second Life - I know it's not a game but it's graphics and movement made me sick.
2) Fury - is that an MMOG?! No graphics scaling - it's either trash or ultra-mode; weird running+turning; almost impossible to download.
3) Final Fantasy XI - grind fest; no effing manual or tutorial.
4) Sword of the New World - awesome graphics but ridiculously easy.
5) Matrix Online - the atmosphere is awesome but it's boring and there's no challenge.
From those I'd only try again MxO if there was miracle revamp/update.

How can anyone rate EQ2 in this list of 5 worst games. It is a very solid and fun game. Not perfect, but no games are.
