It isnt much but with almost no news for a couple of months any update is better than none,Here is a quote taken from IGN on TCoS dated the 21st July...
"Frogster's autumn is complemented by The Chronicles of Spellborn, which just last week passed performance and stress tests very successfully in an essential development milestone. After integrating the final content and performing the last balancing and polishing, Frogster will release the long awaited fantasy online role playing game this year as planned. For Spellborn the beta-registration has already started as well at: www.spellborn.com".

If someone had came up to me in 1980 when I was on my Atari 2600 and said we will be playing games with thousands of people at the same time.I guess my response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"
Comments
Wow, a whole update based upon a mistranslation of the German press-release.

Weird response.
Anyway, for those who cannot read German. The press release does not say that TCoS will be released this year, but that it should be released this year (and open beta should be in October). Which in a way is actually good to hear. It means that the publishers are not at SIL's throat.

Hmm, seems like they will gp though with beta by October. Should be interesting to see if they can pull through.

there is no german in the link...
Hey mike, yeah doing good mate still fiddling around on VG atm havent seen you on for a bit though, have you stopped playing?
On topic I posted the same thread on the offical TCoS website and I think if there was a problem with it one of the mods would have quickly pointed it out and like the above poster has pointed out this is from IGN English speaking magazine and not the German post you are talking about but I guess you didnt even check the link out, that is what bothered me on your 1st post as it seems you just had a quick read and decided to post something negative without even checking the link.
After that you came back telling people what it said if they couldnt read german even though it was english.

You are right. I should have given the link to the German press release on which that article was based, but I gathered no one would be interested unless you do understand German.
Point is, there was no news in that press release nor in that article. Everything was published before several months ago, but maybe not by them. That's why I was amazed. Not just about that bit of misinformation about release.
