Questions about AOC, and Buddy Key

 I have several questions about AOC.  I also would like to request a BUDDY KEY to try out this game before I purchase it.

 

1.  I have read alot of complaints about AOC.  What are the developers doing to correct the problems in game?

2.  What is the time table for fixing the problems?  Or have they been fixing alot already?

3.  What parts of the game did Funcom leave out of AOC at the launch?

4.  When are they adding what was promised to AOC?

5. Can my system run AOC, at lower settings?  AMD 64, single core 2.4 GHZ, 1gb mem, 7300 GT card.

    1. No one knows, FC doesnt communicate.
    2. See number one.
    3. Read the back of the box listed "features" to find out. A lot, just a lot.

    5. I seriously doubt it, 1 gb RAM??

    Except number 3, I was being honest. This is currently the worst aspect to AoC IMO.

    Others will disagree.

    Instead of fixing game breaking issues, they fix the breast size of female toon, the length of the polearm and added the leveling sound when you leveled...etc. Check the patch notes for more info but most of them are shadow nerf (meaning you wont see them in patch notes anyway lol)

    They patch (keyword here, patch != fix) twice a week and with every new patch, more people cant play because of the client crash. So basically they fix junks and broke more things.
    3.  What parts of the game did Funcom leave out of AOC at the launch?
    If you got the box, all the features are missing. If not, here are some example since I got the box with me.
    Guild battle - Not there
    Seige Battle - Not there
    DX10 - Nope
    PvP - weak
    4.  When are they adding what was promised to AOC?
    Who knows, from AO experience, a year? or maybe never?
    5. Can my system run AOC, at lower settings?  AMD 64, single core 2.4 GHZ, 1gb mem, 7300 GT card.
     Good luck running the game with that. It lower than minimum requirment.

    They're trying to fix it right now but their patches seems to make it worse. I would consider waiting about 6 to 10 months before trying it.

    They've been trying to fix em every week but the problem is 7 times out of 10 they make the platform more unstable in the process.

     coding stability, DX10, armor designs, blood money, high city teirs, etc.
    4.  When are they adding what was promised to AOC?
    No one knows for sure. DX10 soon...other things I listed unsure.

    No. Minimum CPU is 3.0 ghz. You have 2.4. If you did get it to load up you would get about 2 to 5 frames per second.

    I agree with Enigma on everything he said. And also, your system would not run AoC. Even if it did boot up, you would get absolutely horrible performance. Sorry if that's a little harsh, not trying to be mean or an ass at all. But AoC is a pretty demanding game and the minimum specs for the game are, in a word, bullshit.

    Good thing you asked here instead of the official AoC forums. Over there, volunteers ban you for asking questions. The answer to this is that they are doing what they want. They don't comminicate and they don't accept suggestions that deviate from their clouded vision.

    They do not have a time table. They don't even have a rough estimate.

    For the first month after launch, they fixed a bunch of stuff, then broke a bunch of stuff, then fixed what they had broke. They were very efficient. Nowadays, they break more than they fix IMO.

    3.  What parts of the game did Funcom leave out of AOC at the launch?
    The list is as long as your arm. In fairness, many games have to delete features before launch.

    4.  When are they adding what was promised to AOC?
    Some of it can't be added in the state the game is in now, so I would expect a year or more before we get what was promised on the box.

    5. Can my system run AOC, at lower settings?  AMD 64, single core 2.4 GHZ, 1gb mem, 7300 GT card.
    It will run slow. You need more cores and more RAM.

     Guys, I am upgrading my system, and would still like a key.  Yes, I know I may have to pay a small amount, but it is not the full cost of the game, if I decided I do not like it.  Thanks for all of your responses, and all of your help.  Thanks to also anyone who can send me a key.

    No, it doesn't. They charge money for the client download for a reason we don't know, but you can get it for free from funcom's servers:
