Crafting, PvP, GROUPING, Community, MMO HELP

I am looking for a new game.  I have tried about every major game out there.  I like WoW but there just tends to be too many level 70 n00bs running around that thinks 5 people in a dungeon = 5 people soloing.  I kinda liked EVE but the lack of a real "world" lost me and the whole you get 1 point per hour of your character being created, is kinda weird.  I loved EQ because not only did you NEED to group to really progress it was mostly fun once you had a network of friends.

What I am looking for:

A game that cannot be soloed to maximum level in a month by every 9 year old out there.  (My 12 year old niece has 9 level 70's in WoW)

A game that encourages and rewards players for grouping.  I love to group and socialize.  That is why I play MMO's.  If I wanted to "solo" there a MANY choices in the single player arena that blow away any MMO.

A game with real community.  WoW just has too many people spread across too many servers to have any real community.  I work with 5 people that play WoW (I work at Circut City part time) and none of play on the same server.  Also, there is no consequences to ninja looting, just plain sucking at your class or anything else because there are thousands of people on your server and reputation means nothing.

A game with crafting that really matters.  In EQ crafting was one of the biggest waste of times there was (Could be changed by now but not sure)  In WoW I spent thousands of gold leveling Blacksmithing then Arenas came out and arena gear you could get with a bot farming honor in BG's and everything I could make could be beat down by the PvP gear.  I want to be able to make stuff people actually want and NEED.

I want some meaningful PvP.  (This one is not a huge wish just something to break away from the formula of PvE)  I would like my PvP to mean something.  Not just some lame instance where some guy is coming to farm his honor for his next piece of PvP gear.

This is what I am looking for.  Now, I am willing to go back all the way to EQ and try about anything that sounds good.  I know games have changed since beta (And I beta tested almost everything) and they have changed since release.

Games I have played:

WoW (current subsctiption)

EQ (Played till GoD I think?)

Horizons (Beta)

LotRo (Beta)

EVE (Trial for 14 days or something)[Liked this and might go back]

City of Heros (VIllans) [Not bad did Beta and a trial account just repetative]

DaoC (like 60 days with a friend)

DDO (Beta and trail accounts)

Lineage 2 (Beta and trail accounts)

WAR (In Beta)

Vanguard (beta)

SW:G (Beta and Trail account)

Ryzom (Trial account)

That is about all I can remember right now.  I am open to just about any suggestions.

If you use "plz" because it is shorter than "please" I will use "no" because it is shorter than "yes."

Rofl. Looks like you've tried them all eh? Here's my advice, either pick a game and stick with it or take a break from the MMO genre for a bit.

I spent like 4 years in EQ.  I have been in WoW since beta though I cancelled my account a couple of times for a month or two.  I have about 4 level 70's in WoW and about 10+ in the 50+ range.  I have Horde and Alliance.  It is not sticking with something that is the problem.  It is staying interested.  It is looking more and more like I might wind up back in EQ.  Though I am WAY behind the curve there when I quit I was one of the top 5 enchanters on the server (And we had two world class guilds on our server Afterlife and some Euro guild).

    Is Pokemon online any good?

I believe EvE is the only game with MEANINGFUL PvP.

Crafting is more mass production... so you may find crafting boring, but much of the game revolves around this production and the economy is based on it.

Yeah, I remember being on my trial account.  I was out somewhere where I was probably not supposed to be.  Next thing I get attacked...  So, not really sure what was going on I sent the person a tell.  It was a PIRATE!  Well, I talked to them after they blew me up.  I cannot remember if they podded me or not.  I do not think they did.  I explained to them that I was on a trail account and I really did not know what I was doing.  They let me get at least most of my stuff back and was very nice.  It was really a cool encounter.  They were cautious though.  They probably thought I had my guild coming to kick thier ass or was two boxing in my "FlyingMotherShipOfKickYourAss" to the scene.

I am going back and forth between the $40 for all the EQ expansions, CoV/H, and EVE now.

    Decisions Decisions
