Thoughts after the free trial

Having played PreCu and CU ......  

definitely  SWG NGE is not a game for me. 

Even if they added 2 tons of content and 200 mil people playing and  paid me 1 holiday month in Hawai  I would still say it is the same rubbish of  2005-Nov -15  with  more content and the worst interface and combat system ever invented.

 I swear I have more fun at work.

I'll never comprehend why they felt that they had to futz so much with the UI in the NGE.

Really a stupid move...almost as if they wanted all their existing customers to go away.

I don't understan why they are so resistant to fixing it.  Even the folks who like the game hate the UI and even reccomend other players download ToS breaking UI mods to make the UI more like the pre-NGE UI.  The developers themselves have acknowledged that the UI is very poor and unintuitive, yet it is still there.  I don't think they want their customers to go away, but I do think they don't really care about the game that much at this point.  They seem to be doing the bare minimum that can be done to fulfil their side of the contract, and the folks at LEC seem to be doing even less.  Outdies of a couple 'We're behind this game 100%!' statements in those online chats, has anyone at LEC been publicly involved with SWG at all since the begining of the year?

Typical laziness that's always plagued this game , Why do the work when players do it themselves. Not much different from how they approached content pre-cu.

it is like a massive extermination where everything is replaced and erased like if it had never existed leaving no signs that make you remember that something existed.

Thats the way NGE was forced on players; 

  thats why they changed UI;a radical change; thats why they dont change it now;

it is not cause of devs laziness but because of the same black hand that does not permit classics servers; the same black hand that says old code does not exist (even the smallest company Ive worked at uses some backUp tool SourceSafe type)

 

  And for me that black hand has face and name : Jon Smedley.

Well I finally decided to go back after not playing the game since Feb.  And I got to say that I loved it.  Granted the only thing I did was collect my 42 month, 45 month and 4 year rewards.  But it was great......lol.
