The Realm of Kirdain is made up of those individuals that seek a mature, family-friendly environment, and a place that offers a sense of belonging. The focus of the Realm is to provide a safe environment in a world of violence and malcontent. We defend our borders with such dedication that can only be compared to a religious zeal. This is our home, our land, our people and being such we will protect what we have worked so hard to achieve.
We offer an Organized Military Structure, and also a Structure for those who are not militaristically minded.
Both Types are welcome!
Organization is Key!
We would like be the ones to say we have developed the best system for ourselves and you as the individuals but we'll let you decide that for yourself! For you battle hardened types out there we offer you the room to grow within our guild through the Army, while we still offer growth and the ability to increase your fame in our Realm by the means of Crafting and aiding the realm in a more peaceful manner. We welcome both types!
Here is found a grand group of players dedicated to a friendly atmosphere. This seems a pretty standard thing to say but we actually mean it here. We try to ensure everyone has the best gaming experience that they can. So no matter how old you are or whether or not you have a family you shouldn't ever feel out of place in our clan.
The Realm of Kirdain is based on the feudal system of government that was common throughout Europe during the Medieval Age. The Lords of Kirdain are the leaders but more commonly called in that age as Rulers. Unlike their European counterparts, the Lords of Kirdain disagree with the belief that their Citizens must serve them. The Realm of Kirdain replaces that belief with one that states that the Noblemen serve the Citizens and the Lords being the Servants of Servants.
The Realm of Kirdain offers a rich atmosphere for those that like to Role-Play. The Realm of Kirdain follows the Church of Morgaine and in the Role-Play atmosphere is bent on driving back the forces of Chaos from the Realm and to safeguard the land from Malaut, the Demon Prince of Greed.
Kirdain is inhabited by the Mirdain, Dwarves, and Humans making up the majority. Kirdain is not a military-stricted nation but one who also enjoys a prosperous economy. We welcome the pure-hearted fighters along with the tinkering crafters into the Realm's borders. The Realm of Kirdain prides itself on our strong armies and naval forces.
Here are a few commonly asked questions and answers:
Q.Does the guild have restrictions in Darkfall? Race/appearance/playstyle?
A. The Realm of Kirdain does have restrictions. We only accept applications from players from the races of Human, Mirdain, or Dwarf. When we have a scheduled event the member is restricted to wear the Realm uniform until the end of the event. There are no hinders to the play style except for random player-killing or any other griefing actions.
Q. From what region are most players from?
A. The majority of the member from the Realm of Kirdain is from the United States of America.
Q. Am I able to play even if I’m from minority region?
A. Yes, even though the majority of the members are from North America we have a strong European contingent. We have Euro friendly times for those that are not able to be there for the North American times.
Q. Are you allowed to be a hybrid soldier (Some melee, archery, and casting) or must you focus entirely on one so that you better fit within the Hierarchy Ladder?
A. We expect our soldiers to be some sort of hybrid when it comes to fighting but they must have a primary characteristic that is identifiable for strategy purposes.
Q. Will lower ranking citizens have any say in what goals and activities the guild takes on?
A. All members have a say in what the guild does but they must be voiced properly through the chain of command. The chain of command is used so that the Nobles do not have to micromanage every situation that arises but leaves it to officers to deal with. Only if an officer is unable to help than one would approach a Noble. But I must say the majority of the Nobles have an open door policy that allows a member to approach a Noble at any time unless he is in a meeting or busy with prior entanglements.

Just an update for you good folk;
Nov 11 2008 - Beta has begun.
I'm still trying to spread the good word (recruiting or not), as the larger the initial population is, the better. However, if you're eager to try this game out, at least, and want to have something to do other than run around killing/being killed, pop on over to Kirdain forums and join up. We'd love to have you as a member long term, but failing that, we could certainly find a way to make your trial action-packed.
Hi, all!
Another update from your favorite Kirdain recruiter!
