    I admire the guys passion but he really needs to learn to listen to the player base. I really don't see why Cryptic kept him on. This is but one reason I won't play this game. They simply don't understand how to make a real ST game.

    Having Passion for something is one thing, but the game he is making is "not for star trek fans" lol. Why would you even attempt to build a game around an IP you are not even a fan of. Very Sad...as I said before, unless they really change the "vision" of this project, I will not invest my time and money.

    And it was pointed out to you features that he asked for had been in mmo's for four plus years and you went on into another post that made even less sense that said something to the effect of these classes were new.  Most of the listed classes were Med Officer,Security etc. how hard would it be to impliment a tool where by these professions were utilized in game if you actually think it's that hard you my friend are a pretty big reason mmo companies shovel crap to us now.

    2) Ships we can walk around and interact from within.

    Not many MMORPGs get the 2nd chance this game is getting. The bottom line is many of the above items were the cause of much bad blood with PE. DO NOT try to be like WOW! Do the right thing and listen to the People. We only want to see STO be the best game on the market!

    ok, so before you gonna say "why?"

    here is why:

    there are many new things in your list, which have never been tested before in any other game.

    If one part of a mmo is badly designed, the other parts suffer.

    Now, with so many new stuff, chances are hugh one thing or the other will not work like intendend and will drag down the rest of the game.

    It all comes down to risk vs reward, and the risks with your list are enormous, you can do some new features but you cannot spend milions of dollars on a almost complete new genre that has never been tested and just hope it all works out, it is a no go.

    We can live in a fantasy world, devs can't (or shouldn't )

    Let's go over this again since your understanding is so limited (as we can expect much more from someone who calls themselves Dillweed)

    Ok again you have already had your you know what handed to you about how long the technologies for these features have existed  where are the new features Dill? What about the new classes mentioned which can easily equate to known models of tank,dps,healing etc?

    Why don't you for once in these foolish posts of yours enlight us instead of changing your point and hoping no one notices.

    And this is all from your original post bro I didn't make this up my point since you are too intelligent to see it is that your original statement was entirely based off of wrong information the fact that most of what he mentioned had never been done before so now that we have in fact taught you what mmos can actually do why don't you spout out of both sides of your face again.

    but yeah, to call this game Fantastic is like calling Twilight the Godfather of vampire movies....

    I'm sure this has already been said before but i couldn't be bothered to read through all the posts

     

    1) Captains take command of ships in the military they don't buy them.  Eve style buying of ships goes against the essence of this.

    2) I saw screenshots of  ship interiors at one point. As for interiors for players ships done properly this is a big ask as a constellation or sovereign size is a big ship with a big interior and alot of potential lag too.  Those in jtl just don't compare.  But it would still be a nice add.

    3)isn't that the same ask as 2)?

    4)again same as 2)

    5)being looked at for the future

    6)already there

    7)why do u want separate profs for when u r in an away team?

    8)Do u have any idea how big a galaxy is???. And warp and impulse travel are already in as far as i know.

    9)maybe u should define what u mean by full

    10)guild stations seem a better idea that guild ships. May be a good idea to wait and see how the commerce element works before asking for that. Defense would depend on how it was done, but a guild war including the stations would be good. Define social content.
