Hi, I've just ordered a new computer, and a few things to throw in the computer. :} But I'm starting to have second thoughts about the way HP informs people... I had to find out that the XW4600 has 2 PCIe 2.0 slots from people who tried it out themselves, since HP never even mentioned it. But if it has PCIe 2.0 or not, it doesn't really matter, the HD4850 should work on both.
What does concern me is; I noticed that it's a quite big card (9-10 inches), the XW4600 is a workstation, so there should be enough room. But I can't find any proof of that, I'd hate to find out until the last minute that there isn't sufficient room...
And I can't find anything about it's PSU. It has 475W, that's the only thing I can find of it... Does it even have a 75 Watt 6-pin connector?
If anybody feels like using google for the next 2 hours, feel free to help me out.
You know it, the best way to realize your dreams is waking up and start moving, never lose hope and always keep up.

That power supply is too weak whether it has the connector or not. As for the rest stop being so lazy and look it up yourself.

It depends on what make the PSU is,yep 1 475w psu isnt the same as another,I only run a 500watt earthwatts psu and run my system 2.66 dual core,4 gb ram and 8800gt 512mb card with nps what so ever.
As for the searching for the other parts like philly said do that yourself.
If someone had came up to me in 1980 when I was on my Atari 2600 and said we will be playing games with thousands of people at the same time.I guess my response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"

Its an HP, its power supply will be shit. Also if its a workstation it should fit the card or else it would be a really bad workstation considering workstation cards are pretty big.
Heh, why'd you buy an HP, everyone I know who bought HP had horrible times with them
Lol. I have bought 2 HPs about 10 years apart thinking that they would get better. Did they? Nope. Stay away from HP.
The more scary thing than buying an hp is the fact you have ordered it then asked questions later.
A gaming pc isnt a cheap thing to buy and tbh everytime I upgrade I spend weeks searching about info and deals etc and also asking question's on site's like these before I let go of my cash,It doesnt matter how much you think you know, someone always knows more.
Tbh my advice now would be to cancel your order and start again, this site can be very useful if you say what you are after and myself and alot of other posters will give you links to other sites with what you are after and will save you not only cash but maybe a few headaches afterwords.
