The White Lion video is old? I thought that was a newly released thing?
His original links were to a 2006 video..if hes got a white lion video up its probably NDA leakage or someone at Con which automatically discredits it. I say this because People at the Cons only have 15 mins thats hardly enough time to figure out how to play your character effectively and it leads to making gameplay looking stale and crap because the player is well not crap but a noob.
I'm still trying to figure out why anyone cares what the OP thinks...anyone whos' been watching the dev cycle for this game knows its a Turn based RPG game like all other MMOs except a very few while AoC was touted as a Live Action game. Comparing two different combat systems seems ridiculous to me. Not to mention its obvious how much of an effect being live action and high graphics and build for consoles has had on AoC's over all performance so far....its completely murdered it in a not so friendly way. ITs over instanced as in every zone can be an instance, its PvP is heavily broken and heavily number limited. Its just bad all the way around. AoC turned into a Live Action game with pve / pvp systems that Mix between the original Everquest 2 System and WoW with a hint at Shadowbane...and it sucks.
You've got to be kidding me! You actually want to compare that old footage to the new MMO's? Just look up the vids for the new beta footage and you'll see a huge difference. Since I'm not allowed to post the links to them just do a search for beta links. Then come back and tell us what you think.

I guess its just comes down to personal tastes. PS: also mentioned it before but : dark elves w/o repeater crossbows != dark elves edit: put a new WAR vid in. please post your own if you want to try and prove me wrong.

Personally I like these over the top colourful animations but I appreciate they aren't for everyone. IMO it was one of the things that LOTRO lacked although it did fit the lore. (I hope Mythic add an enchantment system too. Whoever thought of that in Blizzard needs a gold star - fantastic stuff. I don't think there's one planned though.)
I can't comment on the pvp speed as I haven't played it and looks can be deceiving. I'll try it before I knock it, I wish others would do the same.

I don't think you will see that. WoW populace is made up of casual gamers many who love PvE. If some of thoise casual gamers learned to love PvP then fantastic.
You know we all started playing MMORPG's somewhere. I personally started with UO at its release, but it was still a start point. The people who started playing MMO's with WoW have as much right to play other games in the future. This WoW crowd that everyone talks about is no different then the crowds in other games. There will always be the a-holes and the kiddies. (Although the population in DAOC on Percival was like no other i've played with in any other game. They were the best!)

I think a lot of people with ADD won't be able to handle their reactions to the speed of the combat. It looks great to me.

I'd rather play a broken game than spend all my time hyping up for this, or any game. I got hyped for aoc, all it brings is disapointment.
