The only "stupendously huge" beta it can be talking about would be WAR.
I don't see them mention Darkfall anywhere...
Yea, the most likely candidate is WAR, its about the right timeframe for WAR to be fileplanet'd like most big mmo's do for open betas
Darkness is soon (that's what I could read from those highlighted letters). It could be Diablo III beta client.
Remember, its fileplanet.. DF wouldn't be "something huge" to them, they are more about mainstream joe commoner stuff, which WAR fits the bill of
DF remains a niche type game with its pvp sandboxy rulesets etc

That's true, also. Plus it does not say mmo anywhere, just betas and demos.
It reads "darkness is soon", like someone posted. Wouldn't it more likely be something like that World of Darkness MMO than Darkfall? Or has that been canned or something. I just don't see Darkfall being viable anymore. Or, yeah, maybe D3, though that might be a stretch, too.
There hasn't been much talk of WoD on CCP/Whitewolfs' end since they first merged. They would have had at least a little build up hype-wise before giving Fileplanet anything to talk about.
It's probably not even in alpha... Or just entered alpha.

still, a hidden message of "darkness is soon" is interesting... but certainly far from conclusive...
He isn't starting anything and has a valid point.
Explain how you came to the conclusion that the blog had anything to do with DF besides the fact that it had the word Dark in the blog (regardless of the other letters following it).
You immediatly accuse others of trying to cause problems, are unwilling to look at the glaring facts involved that would disprove your theory, and seem to be rather hostile when someone voices an opinion that doesn't match your own.
If you are not a blind fan, then what are you? you have literally created your own version of what that blog should mean out of a misplaced desire to see a game succeed, and the moment someone else said something different you jumped all over them. That is the very definition of fanboyism.

Darkfall is unlikely to enter beta any time soon. Darkness is soon could be easily related to D3 or World of Darkness.
WAR should come out this fall, so it could be WAR beta too.
I believe there won't be a Darkfall beta this year, maybe in '09.
Maybe its the new Star Wars MMO beta? :P Who knows maybe Vivendi/Blizzard are going to publicly beta S2!
We will see...I hope its KOTOR MMO or Warhammer.

yea, i doubt they're talking about darkfall. outside the df forums, i can't imagine darkfall being considered a "huge beta."
uh, it's due to release this year, so yeah beta will be announced in next 4-6 weeks.

They're not "highlighted", just in a bolder type than the rest.
They're actually bolded letters, much like Psiho's that Zorvan so cleverly recognized.
Its not WAR thats for sure, WAR maybe a big game, but they would not keep it more secretive than AOC, Vanguard or any other game they have hosted in the past.
This is something Huge, I dont know what it is, but its something that will blow everyone away.
No one just puts messages like that into some game that already is well known and already has huge beta members.,
This is something we have never thought we would see.

yea there is a huge chance it is darkfall just because darkfall is something alot of people dont expect.

hat's the next big beta? A question that assaults my mailbox. My answer is always the same, a knowing glance and a wicked smirk. We rarely let people know things are coming before they grace our front page as we keep things highly secretive. It's for this reason I'm thrilled to announce something stupendously huge is coming to FilePlanet. If you're not subscribed yet - I insist you do. Based on the title of his post I would say it is most likely a reference to Warhammer Online. Since one of War's catchphrases was WAR is Coming. I would make sense.
It could also be a reference to Wrath of the Lich King.
But if I was going to put money on it I would say it was WAR. Especially since EA's own store had the launch date for WAR listed as September 23rd.

Bioware games (Dragon Age & Star Wars The Old Republic)
Darkfall won't be requiring such a long beta and true to form they won't force people to subscribe through fileplanet. It will be access for all not for the few who use FP.
I don't see it being darkfall either, probably Warhammer. Which, if it is, I don't get the big deal they're making out of it.
