I luckily got in on my code - but I wanted to warn others that this isn't a slick oiled machine - and they might even be all gone even though it popped up yesterday
I ordered the Pre-Ordered SE yesterday (standard edition)
1. I got an order reciept (no codes)
2. I emailed gamestop support about pre-order codes
3. I recieved codes in a seperate email which didn't seem to work at all, I entered them multiple times, no luck. By advice on MMORPG.com forums, they said some of the codes were switched
NOTE: I had in time emailed both warhammer beta support, warhammer regular support, and gamestop support (which you can see the email below). Warhammer regular support said that their email address was NOT being monitored so you should contact their beta support which is linked at the bottom of the beta application page (I had already done this).
After that - I tried this
entering beta code - no go
entering head start code - no go
entering items code - no go
deleting last code and re-entering beta code - worked
It now shows I have applied "Collectors Edition Pre Order" - I'm still unsure if I get into Open Beta
So no idea why, but I guess if you have issues try that - being a techie myself, this makes absolutely no sense!
I tried entering the beta code at least 30 times or so previously, even trying to delete dashes and so such - so I don't think it was PEBCAK.
4. After the fact I got this email -
Dear Valued Customer,
Unfortunately, we have exhausted our code supply for Warhammer Online.
We are currently requesting more codes from the manufacturer, but it is
unknown if we will be receiving anymore. Please keep in mind that these
codes were free bonus items and in no way guaranteed. We are compiling a
list of customers who should receive a code if we get more in. We
apologize for this inconvenience.
Summary:
Be carefuly because you might not be guarenteed to get into open beta through doing this process due to the aboved email. I just wanted to pass this on to other people that are frustrated.
And I'm not sure if I'm actually admitted to Open Beta, whenever it happens, it just says "Collectors Edition Pre Order" so I'm unsure if it means I'm getting in.

I would also like to thank the people who provided insite and information - gamestop was also fairly prompt on replying to the issue at least both on the codes, and then them not working. I encourage anyone who reads the above information to try and post and help others, the black hole of no information sucks. Please keep a level head.

What I think happened was that Gamestop recieved to many bonus codes from Mythic and decided to hand them out with the SE as well after they sold out of the CE...hence why it says CE preorder on the beta page when you put in the promotion code even though you bought the SE.
(Thats my guess)
I had no problems putting in the codes for both of my preorders, good luck to everyone else that jumped on this a little late.

The website to enter the head start and in game item codes is still in development. You don't enter them codes into the same place as you did your beta code.
Maybe you shouldn't order it offline?
I work at the mall, Hollister, and during my lunch break went into Gamestop, pre-odered, got my box of codes, and everything is going swimmingly.
I think the lesson of the day is don't trust the internet, and if you want to make sure you get an actual working code, try your local Gamestop first.
This is what I will be doing monday or tommarow Hopefully get a OB key and Head start key also, im only getting the SE

What's interesting about this is that I recieved my codes a couple of days ago. I ordered from Gamestop, and just put my code in tonight. Went into my beta account, typed in code, and it comes up I ordered the Collectors Edition (or at least had the code). But i for sure (says on reciept and all) ordered the regular old Pre-Order. But i guess it doesn't matter much sense we are all supposed to get into beta/head start if we pre-order.
I just hope all this confusion and mixed up codes and stuff ends with the first day of open play.
Reading your post and the OP's post makes me so angry. I am not angry at you guys but the fact that you have collector's edition status while only paying for the regular standard edition is bullshit. I paid $80 to pre-order my collectors edition and now i am regretting it, especially since they announced that those that pre-order the regular standard edition will also get into open beta and have a head start. I work in retail and we fuck shit up all the time so i imagine that it wasn't EA mythic that started the debacle with the codes. Their CE went from amazing to just "okay" in one day of announcements.
Read up on what Mark Jacobs said. They never said that CE would be the ONLY version to get the OB and Head start keys. CE was for the other junk, like the minature, and some in-game items. If you where getting it JUST for the OB key, then cancel it, and order the SE.

I will just buy the SE since CE costs more and i'm not really a tabletop fan...no flaiming plz! NOOO! Spare me!!..... <---

I agree that this totally sucks. From what i was reading at first it deffinetly seemed like it would all go to CE. Though, i wouldn't have probably pre-ordered it had i not found out i might get into open beta/ head start.
It does sound like the stuff that comes with CE is worth it, money wise, but i can see why some people wouldn't care.
First off, miniature and were. Second, I know it was never mentioned that CE owners would be the only people with access to the OB. I have read numerous post and have seen threads locked down due to the constant flaming that was generated when the pre-order perks were announced. What Mythic should have done was announced the pre-order perks for the standard edition as well as the pre-order perks for the collectors edition at the same time.
But the bigger issue here is the fact that people are getting collector's edition status while only paying for the standard edition. Like i posted earlier, i doubt the fault is on EA mythic's end for the codes debacle.
Its bullshit how i order a CE and get SE pre-order codes. Thanks gamestop.
