As the title suggests I am trying an old favorite again. I have done so several times since the inception of TOA. For some reason the current state of the game has me Lovin it. There are several changes and I decided since it would seem different I would play a realm I wasn't familiar with and its been like a new game all over again.
For those not aware and those that are Mythic also will be introducing a classic server within years end. I am sooo looking forward to that!
Cheers!

Good to hear. What realm did you pick this time? If you say Alb... I'm taking my ball and I'm going home!
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-
I went back like 3months ago and could not get into it. I honestly tried and could not do it. There was very little population and interest in doing much. I heard rumors while playing and around that Mythic would be moving this to F2P or abandon this game altogether when War is released. I also heard of them maybe moving this to a combo price to play both War and DAOC for 1 monthly price, sorta like what SOE does.
Who let you in the VIP section?
I came back and love it as well. I actually started two new characters from scratch since I have been away for too long. As far as not enough people on, thats not really true. Ran around Thidrinki the other night with at least 30 people in the zone. Not the large numbers of yesteryear, but it was very manageable and still very fun. What the game now really lacks is any group stuff for PvE. It is VERY much a solo game, which is fine by me. I have a very bad feeling the WAR launch will either not happen on time, or be a very bad launch. And as we saw from AOC, you will probably get a good initial WAR surge and then a drop off by the beginning of 2009. Anyway, loving my new Vampiir on Hibby, fun class. Definitely worth coming back to.
I picked Hybernia, and playing a ranger. To another posters comments. It is definately more solo friendly. I did get in a group when we had DF and still was a blast.
