Phase 1: Oh man I can't wait for <Random New Game> to be released its going to be so amazing it will so beat <Random Game> I love the pvp, combat system, pretty graphics, developer. HAH HAH I'm so lucky I'm in Beta and this game is TEH WIN, OMG its LEET!!!
Phase 2: One month into <Random New Game>, yeah this game is great so much to do, its perfect and anyone not playing it sucks.
Phase 3: Two months into Random New Game, I'm loving this game, max level and I'm running around ganking newbs and killing <Random End Boss> weekly. I rock and so does <Random New Game>
Phase 4: Three months: <Random New Game> developers suck! They nerfed me and now the newbs can almost beat me, I'm tired of farming <Random End Boss> 20 hours a day for the last 90 days. Need new content!
Phase 5: Four to Twelve Months: This game sucks I'm going to cancel, nothing to do in <Random New Game> I've already maxed level, ganked all the newbs, killed the end boss. Nothing left to do but complain. I can't wait for a new MMO that fixes all of these problems.
Phase 6: Cancel account. Move to Phase 1.

Hey! Now I take personal resentment to your "gamer life cycle", I for one take my time and make sure to explore everything, and when I get bored I have enough attention span to at least stay -

A human and an Elf get captured by Skaven. The rat-men are getting ready to shoot the first hostage with Dwarf-made guns when he yells, "Earthquake!" The naturally nervous Skaven run and hide from the imaginary threat. He escapes. The Skaven regroup and bring out the Elf. Being very smart, the Elf has figured out what to do. When the Skaven get ready to shoot, the Elf, in order to scare them, yells, "Fire!"

Haha it's so true, but for me I usually never get past phase 3 before starting over again.
