Looks ok for the price, but if you want to use it for gaming then you should up the ram by 2gb (preferrably so it is 2x2gb, if you only add 1 gb then you loose the dual channel bit and go back to single channel therefore slowing it down) and buy a proper soundcard, onboard soundcards take up more resources and slow your games down.
Would you care to post a link to where you found this pc? Because at that price point I'm having a hard time believing it and would love to check it out.
i did mention the site in the start but sure the link is www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Mega_Special_II/
also i looked at the 2x2gb and it adds $420. hmm maybe i can find one that comes with it for a better price then i would by upgradin to it
The processor isn't that great, the power supply would need to be replaced, but everything else looks good.

why would his 500watt psu need to be upgraded?
ok it isnt the greatest but it will run that system with no problems.
If someone had came up to me in 1980 when I was on my Atari 2600 and said we will be playing games with thousands of people at the same time.I guess my response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"

what if i upgraded it to a 550 Watts Power Supplies(Hush SLI Ready Power Supply)???
if it needs to be upgraded more then that. What should it be?
i can upgrade the memory to 4GB (2x2GB) PC8500 DDR2/1066 Dual Channel Memory
then the computer would run about $1100
mate you dont only look at the watt of the psu but also(and more importantly)the maker, dont let anyone tell you to grab a certain say 600 watt as it is ofc better than a 500 watt,do some research and you will find there is alot more difference than you think.

well looking at the site and the power supply u can choose from what would u say is a good choice
or..you can learn alittle about pc's as you build and take a look through sites like these http://www.pcguide.com/ref/power/sup/index.htm
Read up alittle if you are still unsure then ask but there is nothing wrong in trying to learn for yourself as you go.

Typically power supplies are garbage when they are supplied with cases like that. I don't care who makes it, 420w is too little for a gaming pc, even a budget one.

ok i did read some of the key stuff that i could find. so i am going to go with a different computer and with different upgrades to it. Let me no if the power supply i choose will be good and last after upgrading the computer in the future. So give me one sec and ill have the set up.

Mate there was nothing wrong with your 1st system if it is only aimed towards games, also the 2nd system you did not even mention the cpu,I suggest you get a friend that knows about pc's and if gamming is your thing then go from there and visit alot of shops.
Gamming pc's cost money and so does upgrading and should not be taken lightly,I always take weeks to search sites and shops and ask questions on forums,my advice right now is take your time and google, visit some shops also, dont rush into it and tbh.
edit-the only thing I can personaly add is the fact I always use an antec psu and never ever had a problem with it,with so many to choose from I am sure other's will add there favorite's.

thing is none of my friends no gaming crap. i probly know more then them. i could just go to my best buy and talk to the geek squad guy and see if he can give me a good setup. i was thinking of just getting an alienware computer but i can get better stuff in a custom one from this site instead of from alienwares site
Plus with e second one i got different stuff. more memory ect... and i got a different case so there is more room and not everything is crammed into a tiny one

I must be going blind, missed the power supply under the case on multiple posts. As for the computers, as long as your getting a relatively high end core2 processor (it's no mentioned) go with the second build. The core2's are faster than anything AMD is putting out right now, the processor on the first one is a generation behind, and based on the entire build you will be able to go longer without upgrading.
