The original open beta was Aug. 4, but they keep pushing it back so no one knows when they will release it, also, I heard they will only be choosing certain amount to play the open beta not everyone will get the chance.

The orginal open beta was never 8/4.  All they said was they would make an announcement about something on 8/4.  That announcement was pushed back.  There has never been a date set for open beta or release other than release is schedulded for Fall which if it releases in the fall is somewhere between 9/21 and12/20.  Other than that nothing has been said or promised.  Now retailers have given various release dates as they always do for any game and like all games those release dates are always set to encourage the most amount of pre-orders possible which means  these retailer release dates have nothing to do with reality just about maximizing their sales.  My bet is still on November or December for release with a chance at October.  But I  hope they push back release to 1st or 2nd querter next year.  The longer they push it out the better the odds of the games long term success.

I really think that it will be out in September or early October. They know that they need to release before Wrath of the Leech Queen, or else the WoW fence sitters will end up back on WoW's side.
