Trust me just switch to a lock or rogue.  Nothing better than to swich class and be happier, this also lets you see the weaknesses of the other classes.  Right now lock and rogue are pretty OPed too which is nice.

If you wanna play arena with your mage try 3v3 in with a rogue and priest.  RPM is a pretty deadly combination.

Many players/devs don't understand the mage issues because they have never played one and always dismiss them as "whiners" because they try to bring their class issues to light. I find them to be a very lag dependent class which take a high skill factor to survive.  In BGs with allies to hide behind they are fine.  In arena with sheep lasting a shorter time, longer cast time and pillar humping it becomes more difficult.

See if you can get a hold of a friends rogue/lock to try out and see how you fare.  To me lock and rogue were a much more powerful class in arena, although some good mages in certain class combinations are still viable.

Wow, that sucks. Too bad Jeff strain (1st main programmer, quited halfways because he was against monthly fees) quited, in he's game Guildwars, they have people watching PvP matches all the time, to balance as good as possible. And Guildwars do have the best balance I ever seen.

But it could be worse, you could be playing EQ2, the balance there is even worse.

Their felpuppy pet can solo a mage by itself because it eats mana.

    This is a mage QQ

And the part about felhunter eating mana, that's an outright lie, it doesn't eat mana, it eats one buff every 18 seconds, it doesn't even touch your mana...only world mob felhunters have mana burn.

If you have EVER been solo'ed by a felhunter...you are probably trying to pvp naked against a level 70 hunter as a level 50 mage.  Honeslty, a mage could PROBABLY melee a felhunter down before the felhunter killed him.

Warlocks are fine in pvp right now, it's three classes, warriors, rogues, and druids, that are completely broken and overpowering in PvP.

Oh and as for your QQ about how mages have to spec frost...Go pvp as a warlock with anything but SL/SL and then come back to me about mandatory pvp specs...mages are not unique in this regard.

ps.  I really really wish that the game WAS balanced around 1v1 pvp, that way I wouldn't have gotten so frustrated with the inane idea of counter classes (rogue being the .50 Cal machine gun to everyone elses rock paper and sissors.)   Of course there would still be QQ, but then at least I wouldn't have to read rogues saying "this game isn't balanced around 1v1, yet we are the 1v1 masters!" all the time.

Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.

They dont balance game for 1vs1 - lol/kek.

Ba same analogy, ONE person could earn 25k honour / day simply by  (anti)afking,  and blizzard wouldn't for it, because its only one person. Anyone could buy arena points for ingame gold, or real money,  and they dont care, everyone could buy some gold from farmers and  they wouldn't care, one could make alota  money because "we dont balance game 1vs1". HEy blizzard, wake up: ONE people is paying for ONE account.
