I had a guy in Butcherblock just harrassing the hell out of my berserker. He was also a berserker, about 30 levels lower than mine, that I had never met before, and he just started carrying on about me (saying I was gimp, etc) in /ooc while I was sitting with my group waiting for the last member to show up for an adventure in LDoN. I put him on ignore. My group got offended on my behalf and started talking back to him. After about 10 minutes I took him off ignore and asked him what his problem with me was, and he said he was just trying to get banned and it was all in good fun. Then he switched to someone else to harrass.
I had a guy start pursuing me persistently in-game after seeing a RL pic of me on a guild message board, but he eventually did give up and go away after a couple of weeks of not getting any further than polite small talk, despite his efforts to take it elsewhere. It must be really annoying to have a dedicated stalker, and if you zone really slowly, you pretty much just want to get where you are going (eventually) and STAY there. Have you tried anything to reduce your zoning time?

Yes, yes, I have! It mostly happens in Luclin zones and anytime after I zone into PoK. After I do PoK, then I want to go away and die.
But yeah, he wasn't really dedicated because I only knew him for two days! Two! I think that he will be gone now, and being polite doesn't work when it's one of those people that just don't see what you say and are like, "Wahhh!"
But yes, zoning is annoying and I will not be getting another computer just yet. There are presently four in the house. O.o My boyfriend uses the really nice one. Hehe. I do not mind for the most part, but during that incident, I did! I was like... "Maybe when I zone, he will be gone, " but no.
Yes, hehe, that is usually our plan, to just go somewhere and stay there. When we were doing LDoN's back in March, I practically lived in Everfrost since there is no zoning necessary for those dungeons and that was all I did. I was eventually number one in Mir for like four months even though I stopped after two hundred of them. Ha. I avoid the Planes a lot though, but it is okay because I play a cleric and sitting in one place while people pull to you is just not my idea of fun. I prefer old world zones where we can run around everywhere and keep moving.

Originally posted by Onela I have another thing that makes me really pissed off. I had a stalker recently that would not leave me alone and would not leave my friends alone in an attempt to make me talk to him, and yes, even though I told him off and got him to go away... I am just so disgusted that I have not played in days. So.. these kinds of things annoy me... a lot. Fate is a wheel, it will reveal, all you've become, all that you feel. Usually ppl who do this are quitting EQ or trying to get banned for some stupid reason, also children younger than 16 do this because for some reason they feel safe harrassing ppl through EQ/IM/forums etc. My advice: don't take it personally.
