I dont think ill be able to get in cb even with my CE preorder just cuz im just above minimum requirements. Though it should run fine i think mythic prolly stayed at the 2gb ram requirement 
Even that one site that someone posted with a poll not long ago said i can run it

Just had to rant .... not that i cant go buy a new comp i just dont want to till it gets cold out and theres nothing better to do

Ehh, I have a feeling that I haven't made it into CB because of the system specs on this computer; some're barely above minimum. Anyways, whether or not I get an invite for pre-ordering a CE will determine whether the above statement is correct or not.
One would think they would want to invite people with minimum requirements as to test how the game responds to that end of the spectrum.
How would beta be effective if your not testing what happens when people have min req comps?

That doesnt make sense though. Mark said that you still have to MEET the requirements not be over them. So if you meet them (which it seems all 3 of us do, just barley) then that is no reason to hold out us of CB. I'm willing to bet they are sending invites out in 3-4 waves over the next day or two. My DXdiag that is on my beta center is actually well over the min system reqs. Its my friends Dxdiag that has no interests in MMO's and thus let me use his and I have not recieved an invite yet either so I wouldnt get worried yet.
maybe we can compare spec's and if one of us gets an invite we can let eachother know if 2gb ram is what they want for cb.

Your prolly right but ive heard alot of stories now how people went and bought new pc's and got invited within a week of updating the Dxdiag.
I just got invited to the CB but won't play in it as Ill get the game disk before the client DL finishes. As far as specs they will want to test the lowest they can hit.

Could just be the luck of the draw... but within a month of submitting a DX Diag log of my new gaming laptop I received an invite into CB. Had been on the list for almost a year prior to then.

Sounds like that was a pretty big wave unless your trying to dl it on dial up lol.
The Dxdiag I'm useing is wellll over system reqs BUT if I get in I will be putting it on this laptop, which is verry similar to yours. What OS are you using? I am using vista (tweaked to shut off all that extra bs that shouldnt even be there). and we are equal in ram and video card. So I may get in but what I can do is tell you how well it runs with extreemly similar system specs if/when I do get in.
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz
Memory: 2046MB RAM
Video Card name: RADEON 9800 PRO
16 GB free on Hard drive (There are hidden files or something on my comp because this is the highest I can seem to get)
Other than the HD I seem to be fine... *shrugs* Getting a new computer anyways so that won't matter much. Been wanting to get one for years since I've had this for awhile.

I think its random luck on the early CB. I used the laptop Dxdiag up untill about 6 months ago then I switched to my buddies Power desktop rig and never got a CB invite. I was hoping I would get lucky like others who got new comps but alas, it wasnt to be.
It just seems to me they would randomly pull out CE owners though. Thoes that did make it in are saying the torrent download is retartedly slow. If its that bad I can see why they wouldnt invite 50-60k people all at once.

theres only 60k CE as far as we know so the 1st wave was probably 1k-10k people

Never fear. I have a beast of a machine....applied for the CB in May of 2007 and pre ordered the CE. Havent heard anything at all. I really dont think its your specs.

True. just wish we knew some of them people with lower specs that could confirm or with around the same specs of some of us that didnt buy a new pc yet.
true since i have been in over a year and i Still havent gotten in and yeah the CE invites are taking a while to process i heard only about 2k to 5k people GOT their invites
I don't think its the specs because they stated they wanted to make a game that could be accessible to a wide range of specs. I remember reading that in some article / interview. Some companies don't believe in this though like funcom when they made aoc because the specs needed to actually run that game cater to only a small percent of people that spend thousand on a top end computer.
Anyways though my cpu is a amd athlon 3200+ which is a little below the recommended, but i also use 1.5g ram and a radeon 1650 pro that has 512mb of ddr2 memory. The video card has really good clock speeds, really the best you can get for a agp x8 slot.
I applied to the closed beta 1 year and 2 months ago and its remained as "applied" ever since then... You would think for having an application for that long they would at least notice some of us or even give a reply saying the application has been reviewed. I can run just about any game out there... Some of the best being cod4 and i even ran aoc with about a 20-30 fps rate. Warhammer has low spec requirements... The game really isn't that revolutionary when it comes to graphics.
Too bad the closed beta is so tight when it comes to letting people in. Heck most of the people that purchased CE can't even get in for various reasons. Lets hope things shape up.

Even if you get invited at this point EA offers no real way to download the game. They sort of say congratz you are invited to closed beta but you are on your own now. All we have is one source to actually download the game, which is a torrent... To top it off EA doesn't even seed on it! Its basically a bunch of gamers trying to work together to get the game out to who needs it.
There are too many peers seeking the client, and not enough seeders. So even if we got invited to CB by the time we finished downloading it would be over by then. You can't really complain to them either because they have no forums. At this point its looking like CB is a failure in terms of letting people actually play it. FFS give us a direct download!

Im learning about it just as i read it, because whether or not any of us CE get in earlier then PW..we are still guarenteed PW regardless.
Update: i just got in with these spec's so if you still havent got an invite being a CE PO ...its prolly not ur spec's!.
