There are flash platforms for chat on web sites available now. Why are you using java? Far more users have flash installed than the JRE or MS's JVM.

I'd be surprised if more than a handfull of people didn't have a JVM on their computer, atleast on this website.
I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.
