A couple pics... our guild put up its guild hall this weekend.  A monumental task, but well worth the effort...

grats on the guild hall looks amazing.  It was also interesting to see the great variety in outfits players were wearing in the game.  Obviously all high lvl players and other then a few wearing the same type of cloak they all look very unique.  Nice itemization.

Very nice pics, and grats on the Hall. Huge effort to get one of those things up.

You've got the character models looking really stunning on your PC, Kudos.

Yes, I never play with names on because I can tell who my guildies are in a glance based on appearance, clothing and gear.  Should have a lot more variety when they put full character customization back in with the new models.

I have many more screenies with folks in the diplomatic gear which is much more formal in nature.

The euro server Halgar has a fairly healthy population, however its mostly 50th. With the win back program, there are more low-mid levels around.

If your starting from fresh I would wait for "Isle of Dawn" which is a few of weeks away (so the rumour goes). Its an excellent starting experience for new comers. Even if you have characters already, the free trial should give a population boost to all servers.

Best thing to do is join a guild, there are lots of them and many 50th play ALTs and group with guildies.

Now playing: VG (after a long break from MMORPGS)
Played for more than a month: Darkfall online, Vanguard SOH, Everquest, Horizons, WoW, SWG, Everquest II, Eve

I will never understand how people can look at screens like that and say "Man, that game looks dumb!" or "That game blows!, $OE sucks!". This game is seriously a gem that people don't give enough credit to. But my friends are playing right now with me and they keep saying they don't like it (one is level 9 now). I just can't understand it. Nice guild hall though!

Halgar is the official Euro server, and I've heard it's doing well.  Over all, Seradon is the most populated and seems to have a lot of non-US players.  Our guild probably has 20-25 active non-US (mostly Euro) players and there is enough critical mass during peak Euro hours to group, quest and even raid together.

I think the entrance barrier can be high for some.  It's easy to get lost, killed... the classes take awhile to figure out... crafting and diplomacy can be hard to figure out etc.  But once folks get into the swing of things, they game can become totally addicting with just a ton of things to do, especially at the mid to high levels.

The guild hall for example engaged dozens of our guildies in harvesting, diplomacy and crafting for months.  One guildy harvested pyrite and fashioned every window fixture for the guild hall.  But that takes harvesting skill, it takes a top crafting tier, it takes a Kojani friendly faction etc. etc.

Kinda hard to see how someone lvl 9 can really decide if they like it or not.  that isn't really much exposure to the game.  Sounds like they might be playing it but not really wanting too....

Are you using the brotherhood feature with them?  That is a pretty neat VG idea that might be encouraging to some of them.
