Never EVER buy MMORPGs second hand no matter how good the deal is heck Ill extend that to all online games that require registration.
There are currently no trials of Vanguard or free keys. The game costs little from amazon try there chap sorry you got shafted.
check out amazon.com you can find CE still unopened for 10-20, and you get some nice goodies with the CE make sure you get a new never opened copy
