Anyone play any other mmorpgs as well as swg? Find a new player help channel and ask who quit swg to come play this. I was seeing alot of question in eve online where people we asking swg style questions. I'm on a break from swg, 8 outta 78 people in my guild log in more than once a week. Prolly 50 of them I havent seen in 3 months. My friends list occasionaly has someone online. The GCW is dead, pvp is a joke, and after jtl there will be no more civil war cities will become even more barren than now. Anyone else starting to think they ruined the mmorpg with the most potential ever?

I so wanted SWG to work out. I followed it even before BETA. But they just never gave what was promised. JTL is definitely going to make it a FPS game with little to nothing else.

Is my server the only one where people are having fun?

We still have tons of good PvP, the GCW is alive and kickin', most cities have people in them (except NPC cities, though they may have 1 or 2 people in them), our economy is somewhat inflated compaired to others (dupers early in the game), we've got a great community, great roleplaying, have players on all the time (a good mix of Austrailians, Europeansm and Americans), and its just all around a good place to play.

It has been said that after all the other servers' lights go out, Valcyn will still be going.

For the first few months that JtL is out, alot of people will be in space, and the people will seemingly disappear. But then the Combat and GCW balance will come out, and the ground game will pick up.

Right now they are making changes and fixes that are improving the game tremendously. Taking away macro looping will remove AFK entertainers and tumblers in med centers, as well as buff bots. This means you have to acctually *gasp* play your profession.

Adding in NPC specials has made PvE combat fun again. It makes it more difficult, and makes some items that were rarely used (like food that ups your defense against specials) acctually useful now.

This game isn't perfect, I will be the first to admit its not. But it isn't ruined. It just needs a little help before it can be good. The devs love this game, it is their baby and they play it often so they know of some of the bugs from first hand experiance. But the management people (SOE) don't care about the game, they care about deadlines and payoff. If you don't like the game, quit. It will show them your dislike for the game and if enough players quit, it will really show the anger at something.

I have to say with the free trials going out there has been an influx of new people. I think a lot of the older people are leaving (heck most of us have been playing this game non-stop for a year, eventually you get burnt out), but they are being replanced by a lot of new people
