...been a lurker here for a while, just trying to see whats new and fresh and so far by what I have been reading it sounds really disappointing, so I'm here to talk about 2 MMO's coming out that I think will surely please most MMO players. The first one is Guild Wars 2. What's not too like? Large population, Free, and excellent content. Not only will the graphics(which are already good on GW1) be better, but it will be an MMO based on a persistent world, which was one of it's major gripes by some people. Guild Wars is enjoyable, been playing it since launch. Another feature that will be much improved will be crafting and customization. NOt sure if they will have more classes and different races, but I hear you will be able to have a high level character compared to the level cap of 20 which is the current cap of GW1, so make sure you check GW2 out.
My other one is KOTOR online. For those of you who have played BG, NWN2, KOTOR, and Mass Effect you know what Bioware is about, THE FANS, Loyalty runs deep...always keen to keep it's fans close BIoware has an excellent relationship with its followers. Many people were turned off by Mass Effect by it's playstyle, true it's different than most Action RPg style games, my suggestion is go play Kotor 1 not once but twice and you might find Kotor online more enjoyable, you will find similarities with the two and that might help you in the long run. Let's hope that the Loosers EA keep there grubby paws off the development of that MMO, and all should be fine...
Now here is one Game that I wish would turn to MMOrpg ...
The Elder Scroll Series-What more is there to say, Bethsesda is My favorite game developer.
on a sad note, I'm looking at the released games tab on the left, wow, what garbage....to those of you who bought AOC i just want to say...HAHA ...I'm just glad it wasn't me....
Comments
I didn't buy AOC but for those who did I hope they enjoy your sarcasam
I have to agree with the OP except on two points:
1. I'm sad that I didn't get into AOC like I wanted to. I'm a big fan of the Conan short stories and was psyched about the world.
2. Both Guild Wars 2 and KOTOR are at least a year out, probably more. ArenaNet has previewed past content at PAX, but from what I've heard they won't be showcasing anything for GW 2. That means the game's still deep in development.
I'm not even sure KOTOR Online is much beyond design stage.
While I hope you're right about both games, they seem as far away as Stargate Online or Warhammer 40K online.

I already wasted $50 on GuildWars 1.
And its not an MMO. Why would I waste more money for another version ?
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, well kick me in the ----
your are so right. something about 10 year old dancing around in the city makes me want the sequel
to a game i played for 20 mins. as far as the star wars thing. hope it works out, but i can't say i'm
interested. so i would say no you are very wrong these are not 2 games to look for. as far as EA
keeping there hands off of a product. i think they have learned from past screw ups, and let the mmo
developers do what they do. believe it or not even AoC had a few good points, and was an absolute
blast for the first 40 lvls. ultimately i have to say to you lol and gl

Sorry nevermind, googled it
You didnt try it before you bought it?
If you didn't then you fooled your self...
If you did try it and didnt notice it was instanced you fooled your self...
Own, Mine, Defend, Attack, 24/7
For me it will be three games:
Darkfall
WAR
Fallen Earth
Despite being a fan of the KOTOR games, I'm not hasty to add Biowares' latest project to the list as I'm one of the few who was bitterly disappointed with Mass Effect.
Proud Master CH -
Sorry,
Proud FORMER Master CH...
my toon was untimely converted into something more Star Warsy
Bethesda are good developers, but they've dropped the ball with Oblivion I think. Maybe it was just a fluke, but we'll see. Its quite clear that the last Elderscrolls, while being great, was nothing compared to Morrowind. Oblivion was dumbed down to an extreme and geared towards the console crowd. If TES V goes back to Morrowind style (which I highly doubt) then I will put Oblivion behind them. As of now, I think if they made an MMO, it would be very uninspired and the multiplayer features would wipe out most of the appeal of the Elderscrolls series...
I'm waiting for Darkfall :P
