For all of those that hate WoW, the fact what it has done for MMOs can not be desputed. However to say that War is a rip off of WoW is a rather uninformed statement. If we look at Games Workshop, the company behind the concept of War, and then look at WoW, you can see that artisticly and in a way conceptually WoW did borrow heavily from GW. If we are talking about the UI and gameplay, of course there are going to be similarities as a certain standard has been set, yes by WoW but also from the games that come before. WoW is like an old pair of sneakers that are comfortable to wear. War is like the new pair that look damn good and in time may become comfortable.

First, using "gay" as a reference point to homosexuality is all around ignorant. Its original use was intended for "happy" or "joyful".
Second, if we are going to accept changing the definition of a word once...I see no reason why we cannot change it again. Gay now means "bad" or "generally unliked"....homosexuality will now simply referred to as homosexuality. God forbid we all manage to NOT get hyper sensitive all the time over something as asinine as semantics.
How about WOW and WAR are identical twins, they both look the same and given 5 mins with each of them you think they're pretty much the same, however the differences are in their personality once you get to know them.
For example.
WAR = Archetype class based system
WOW = Unique class based
This means in WAR each class in a archetype plays similar, they have some differences but have the same basic skills and rolls. In WOW each class is totally different from the other so each one will have a different roll. You can't say one is better than the other, but it's just down to what you personally like. I know myself I prefer WOW's system because it's more unique and every class is really fun, you wont play a class that feels like you've played it before.
One thing I will say for WOW though and that is the battlegrounds and lack of World PVP sucks and Blizzard will get a wake up call with WAR and have to make some changes to stay ahead and listen to what the community wants for once. Then again the keep system at launch wont be all roses and will have tons of balancing issues Mythic will have to sort out so Blizzard will have about a year to get their ass in gear before Mythic would have sorted most the issues.
Thinking most of the people already saying WAR is a great game are bored with WoW, thought WoW sucked to begin with, are general Warhammer/DAoC fans, or think WoW sucks like it does. It set the bar, it raised the standards. Now it's been lowering the standards, but still raising the bar.
WoW is is a jaded cartoon that pokes fun at most of other media with in-game easter eggs and references. (Once you really look at it, WoW has taken quite a bit from other people).
WAR is a TV show with aspiring actors that pokes fun at itself. (Tome of Knowledge has a lot of wierd things.)

WoW is a fun game that set the standards for MMOs higher and made MMOs wildly popular.
War is a game I hope will be fun and show other developers that there is room for other types of games.
