TR Picking up Speed??

I don't know about others, but I have seen a large increase in people coming back to this game.

I stopped playing about 4-5 months ago, started playing AoC, but always wanted to come back.

 

Now I come back and see so many more people in the low level areas.  Ton's of trial accounts it seems.  There are also post after post on the forums of "Come back" threads from people who left for one reason or another and just decided they wanted to get back into it.

Yep I came back this week after quiting a few months back. This time around I am really having fun. Like you I've seen lots of people in starter areas and lots of trial accounts.

Hows the game doing content wise, and play wise?  I noticed the CE around for only like 20 bucks, so I was thinking about picking it up.  But I played OB and it was pretty fun, but seemed bland, world wise.  (Then again, I was on a 6800, Now I have an 8800 lol).

 

But yea, hows the current state?

I haven't made it to max level to find out. Right now there is plenty to do and plenty of loot to be had. Plus for the price TR is going for if you reach the max level and find it boring and nothing to do you really didn't waste a lot of money.

They got a trial. I would suggest trying that and this time around you may like it.

The ncsoft downloader hates me so much.  Ill try though lol.

 

EDIT : Wow, they changed the trial from using a buddy key to being open, as well as fixed the downloader to actually download shit (It didnt for me before).  So I signed up and am downloading it now

At this moment I think a lot of MMORPG's getting a small influx of players as basically everyone is quiting AoC.

So many people left their MMO for Age of Conan, found out what an insult this game was to the genre and are now going back to their old MMO.

While I agree, the fallout of AoC is helping a lot of games, I'm seeing *new* people in TR, more over then "returning" players.

Well, I'm back in TR after a long absence; played from Dec through Jan and got to about level 30 before I had a MMO burn out....nothing really to do with TR, just was getting sick of the MMO scene for a while. I gradually returned to WoW to play with friends, but WoW is just painful to me these days. On a lark, I found TR and decided to load it up again and see how it felt now. The game is noticeably improved, not that I had many issues with it before, but most importantly I found myself compelled to play, and losing sleep over it....a good sign of a good MMO (bad sign for normal life, but oh well!)

So at this time, TR is the only MMO I am paying for, and I've decided I'm not touching any other MMO except this one until WAR arrives.

I played for a bit when it first came out, but dropped it because my brother couldn't play on his machine.

We just got back into it, and loving every minute of it.  Never had so much fun in PvE before.  And the noob zones are filled with trials, so I'd have to agree, the game seems to be gaining in popularity again.

thats funny the CE is still going for 20 and the regular is 50. i got my CE back when the game first came out so i thought it was a special sale or somethin off amazon ( i think thats where i got it anyway). but damn... lol. /logosphi ftw
