I'm looking for a game and i guess you guys are the prefect bunch to help.
I'm looking for a game that as these things
1) Quest-heavy. Hey I like quests. Completing them give me a sense of accomplishment, I guess.
2) Speaking of quests. I like those that make you think. II like those from RPGs and MUDs (if anyone of you have ever played any.) I like a puzzle or mystery to solve every so often. I don't mind quests that are simply killing sprees, but a good puzzle may be fun too.
3) Dungeons to crawl. I guess this one is a easy one. Sometimes mindless killing everything in sight and getting loot is cool, too.
4) Crafting! I don't know why I enjoy making virtual objects, but I do. I'd like it to be easy to catch on, but pretty complex in the end. Add a good player based economy and i'm all set. This should actually be number one of my list.
5) Casual Player friendly.
Optional:
3) RP community. I've never done it in a MMO, but it doesn't hurt to try it out.
4) Sci-fi or something other than Fantasy would be AWESOME.
5) Multi-classing. I can never decided what to play, and I do like trying out different things without switching characters.
What I've tried:
Puzzle Pirates: Fun, but not really my thing. I found a cool crew, but the puzzles got boring, really fast.
Moginbi - I can't even spell it. Its by Nexon and I guess its OK. I don't mind spending money on a game, but just not this game. But at 26, I feel way too old to play this game.
SWG - Looks fun, but I think I kept picking the wrong servers. Lots of AFKers in the Catinas and I was pretty lost. Cities were cool, but very, very empty.
Eve - Actually kinda good. But not really my thing.
City of Villians - I'm actually enjoying this game. But, I don't think I will stick with it.
Thanks for reading this lengthy post!

Anarchy online sounds perfect espically the quest part the classic is free if you want expansions i think its 5 dollars a month but even the classic is big. Now I dont know if the quests are dumbed down in the later expansions but I have not heard any complaints about them, but yes this game does not only make you think in quests it makes you think in so many ways.
It has depth and complexity and its very story driven lots of lore, lots of classes and expansions you can build your own cities and there is some series pvp features in this game and most of all the community is very mature and friendly except in the froob island sometimes its bad but they dont last long because this game is meant for adults who understand what a true mmorpg really is.
Oh and many classes are hybrids in this game there really is no straight foward unless you build them that way the cool part is you can use any weapon with any class it just costs more points to specialize in it since your class might specialize better in smgs but really its about whats fun.
