SInce a couple of you couldnt understand my simple statement let me rephrase it.
People defend it because they have fun with it. They do not take it so serious as to cry about stuff not being in it. They do what people should do with games, play it to have fun. If you do not have fun with something you can simply stop. people who spend so much money to play this game have themselves to blame. It is YOUR fault for not having fun with the game not the developers. They give you the tools, it is your attitude towards it which determines if its worth it or not.
SInce a couple of you couldnt understand my simple statement let me rephrase it. Well, I'm pretty sure I understood your first comment... and understood it the same exact way everyone else seems to have. Perhaps the problem was in how you phrased it. It is YOUR fault for not having fun with the game not the developers. They give you the tools, it is your attitude towards it which determines if its worth it or not. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that I'm reading this comment right, as well... You are seriously giving the devs a pass on not delivering content promised.
You are giving FC a pass on not being honest with the players about the true state of the game; many players whom spent their money on pre-orders, or on post-retail orders in good faith that those features hyped up prior to release would actually be in there.
You're giving FC a pass on the ridiculous bannings, the locked thread after locked thread of people pointing out the game's flaws - even when constructively, and the blatant PR spin...
None of that factors into why you think so many people - here and elsewhere - are so ticked off. Instead, you are blaming the *players* for not enjoying the rolling train-wreck FC has delivered.
Wow. How does that even begin to make sense in any rational context?
Let's say I promise my son a brand-new basketball when I get paid next week. I have him totally hyped up about the brand. I'm showing him pictures of a model that has his favorite team's colors, and is autographed by his favorite player. Then the day comes, he's eagerly awaiting me at the door... and I hand him a plain, generic, orange basketball. No autograph. Oh yeah, and it's deflated.
"Don't worry", I say to a now utterly disappointed child, "I promise to get an air-pump... eventually... so you inflate it. I mean it doesn't really need to *bounce* to go through the hoop, does it? Just find a way to enjoy it as it is for now." When he asks about the team colored ball with the autograph, I say, "Well, I never really *promised* I would get that one... That was just the one in the picture I was showing you."
By your logic... that kid has no right to be disappointed. If he can't enjoy himself with that deflated basketball... well that's his fault. I have no accountability *at all* in making promises and building up his expectations, and then utterly failing to deliver on them. He just needs to get over it and learn to appreciate what he has.
Right. What is it with the whole "blame the player" attitude going on with this game, anyway? It's amazing... This is like the 6th post, at least, that I've seen where someone's trying to blame the players for the sorry state AOC is in. Are there subliminal messages being flashed across the screen during gameplay or something that say "BLAME THE PLAYERS", "THE HATERS DID THIS", "THE GAME IS PERFECT", or something?

On behalf of everyone at Blizzard, I want to apologize for the challenges and frustrations you experienced while trying to purchase BlizzCon tickets on Monday and Tuesday. BlizzCon is about the positive experiences you all have had with Blizzard games. As a result of this week's events, the excitement that many of you felt about the show has turned into dissatisfaction and disappointment.
Due to these circumstances, we've reevaluated our convention hall space and come up with some solutions that will allow us to offer 3,000 more tickets for sale. We know this will not be enough to satisfy the very high level of demand for tickets this year, but we want to ensure that BlizzCon remains a great experience for those of you who are able to attend. To avoid the issues many of you faced this week, we'll be selling these 3,000 via a lottery. We'll post further details once our plans are finalized. Please note that the lottery will only be open to those with an active Blizzard Account as of 9:00 PM PDT on August 12, the time that the “Sold Out” notice was posted.
I, and everyone else at Blizzard, share the frustration and disappointment that many of you have expressed as a result of this process. We'll do what it takes to avoid this type of situation in the future.
Sincerely,
Mike Morhaime

Boy, this pissing contest is really turning me on. Behave, please. Edit for clarification: I don't have any issue with the topic at hand, but I don't like seeing topics dragged into a pit of personal attacks.
this is an obvious troll thread. Look at what it became, why do you mods think that a thread like this is needed in this forum?

Did you know that a lot of guilds left, broke up, or merged because they couldn't deal with the game mechanics in working together to get resources for a City or Battlekeep?
Avery please could you provide some info of this?

i hope if you do write an article you gets your facts straight and not sugar coat or twist the truth like this one.
